thank you guys for this, genuinely so helpful <33 i’ve been waiting for this response for months and it is still relevant to my life!! college apps are officially done in march but imma use this winter break to knock em out. also i quit the job i had just applied to when i sent the message lol. ALSO, thank you for the warning of autoimmune disorder, i had not even considered that lack of sleep could affect me in a permanent way. that’s so important to know. i kept thinking as long as i slept better the next day i’d be fine, but it’s good to know possible long term repercussions. thank you thank you thank you!! i think i’ll actually use that punch card thing, that’s adorable and so ADHD-friendly

2026-01-12 05:39:49 +0000 UTCthanks for this!! thankfully i did know about it already. i didn’t participate in the TAG program though because i am going for a degree in music industry and music production, which is a very specific major not offered by any UC except UCLA. and update from the future, i didn’t apply to UCLA because i didn’t plan my time well lol. but its okay, the other schools im applying to are better for practical music practice anyway. pros and cons of entering a very specialized field

2026-01-12 03:44:57 +0000 UTCI'm still left on a cliffhanger with these missing keys. But that's ok. I'll get through. And I'll have to try asking something much more thoughtful next time. I feel like an idiot; I had no idea how serious and deep the questions were around here. 😬

2026-01-11 22:14:43 +0000 UTCOlivia, thank you for continuing to share your physical and mental health journey- it’s really nice to hear about as a similar, chronically ill, 28 year old weirdo. I too was a super ADHD/OCD fueled highschool over-achiever who worked herself into a f**king autoimmune disease [Ulcerative colitis], and despite having years of experience I’m still figuring it all out, as I’m sure we all will be forever. And on that journey it’s nice to know I’m not alone; none of us are! And to Shartlet Lestraps, if you happen to read this, I feeel you. Be kind to yourself, slow down when you’re feeling overwhelmed, and learn to tune into what grounds you above all else. Forever know that you wiLL be okay, you’re incredible, don’t doubt yourself but pace yourself. Hey, I’m doin alright, fantastic when I’m not being too hard on myself, and I haven’t even been medicated for adhd yet. It’s all a journey with its various ups and downs but you’re killing it and you will continue to. <3

2026-01-07 08:59:18 +0000 UTCScarlet, idk how into the transfer process you are, but something that might relieve some stress is knowing that there are 6 different UCs that have a Transfer Admission Guarantee or TAG. 2 of those (Irvine and Davis) are considered top 10 public schools in the country, so there will definitely be good options for you as a transfer student no matter what.
