I know you got an answer afterwards, but yes, it's legal to block with the elbow, at least with US rules (I know this is Japan, but Morikawa-san, the mangaka, is heavily inspired by US boxing, and is a boxing person himself). What's absolutely not allowed, however, is attacking with the elbows in any way, although many boxers have done it and pass it off as an "accidental hit" and such.

2023-12-27 18:33:57 +0000 UTCYo Lax, boxing is scored on a 10 point system...Most rounds are scored 10-9 (if a boxer does better or slightly better he'll win and get 10 points...a 10-8 round is given if one boxer beats his opponent severely or gets a knockdown....a 10-10 round is usually if its an even round
