Odesa
Added 2023-06-18 09:54:13 +0000 UTCThese photos are bitter sweet to me, because we shot these series with my dear friend Nastia Gooz almost two years ago in Odesa, when the war was still an unlikely threat, not a brutal reality. These times seem so long time gone. Now the beaches of Odesa region are dangerous and very polluted due to the mines and garbage that got flown with the explosion of the Kakhovka dam. Ecological and humanitarian disaster caused by this war is hard to comprehend.
But also this shoot marks the beginning of journey as a sculptor, I was obsessed with sculpting hands, faces, bodies. It's amazing to see my progress in these two years and how far I have come. I wonder what the next two years will bring!
