I don't think the curses are that confident for no reason. Obviously they know who they're dealing with, literally the entire reason they're doing this operation is because Gojo is so powerful. So you HAVE to know there's no way that they didn't go in there with a very thorough plan to subdue and immobilize him. And ofc they had to have known going in that it wouldn't be easy. Also, just killing a few ppl isn't gonna make it easier for Gojo. There's a LOT of ppl in the station there. Idk why reactors are acting like they're helping him just by killing 5 out of 500 (not actual numbers, just making a point).

And about humans aka non sorcerers being able to see curses or not, in ss1ep1, when explaining to Yuji, Megumi did say that normally humans cant see curses. Unless they are in grave danger, basically 1 step away from their death door. But i guess whether you can see curses sooner or later really depends.
