2023-07-28 23:49:40 +0000 UTCI can't believe there's only 2 episodes left. I'm not ready 🥲 I looooove that Sakaki reminded Kataoka of how his first game as the ace went. I think its such a good addition to the scene. While you're in the Yura Sogo game everything seems to heavy and dark and serious but knowing that it was never just Eijun and that even Kataoka had the same struggles his first game as the ace makes it all feel so much lighter and easier to handle. There's only so many ways I can praise Furuya and Eijuns friendship but I will praise Furuyas character development and growth until the day I die. He came from no team, literally could not find a group of kids willing to play with him until he came to this school and now look at him. Acknowledging how Eijun felt about his first game as the ace and telling him that he'll work hard to make sure he gets another chance so he can feel better. That boy has a crazy amount of growth and I'm proud of him.

He went from a pitcher who thinks about himself, seems to be unapproachable and doesnt trust his teammates to being able to open up and think for the whole team before himself. As Eijuns rival, teammate and friend, Furuya knows best how far Eijun has come and how much burden the ace number is weighting him down. So for himself, for Eijun and for Seido too, he showed his resolve and intended to stick to it.
