many times in the series ppl like the student council president, his teacher, and ppl of high skill and power look at ayanokoji and see he has insane mental skills and abilities but refuses to show them, everything about him, how he treats ppl, what he lets those around him do, its all a mask and a plan, the last scene is meant to confirm that he is this emotionless puppeteer. the way he got horikita sick on purpose, he allows bad things to happen to ppl to give himself advantages. he had planned for her to drop out the whole time, when you said hes helping ppl win, he rly doesnt care if others win, just for now its beneficial to have ppl around him to use, once they become useless or detrimental he will probably cut them off
