100% agree, their rivalry is really well written id rather watch them both try to catch up on each other rather than the other falling out and then the other taking over, but what i do like about this furuya phase is we are seeing a different kind of struggle on an athlete esp on mental side and when it comes to pressure(since furuya has been carrying that ace number almost since the beginning), i love ace so much and ur reactions/thoughts are always on point 💯

Honestly when it comes to Furuya here, I think he benefits more from having comments written for him where he doesn't have to produce answers and thoughts immediately. Furuya is definitely the type of person that seems to do better when he can sit and really think over questions and comments. If sitting with someone physically produces all the same questions and comments I think he would struggle more with trying to come up with an answer on the spot. When it's written in the journal he's able to re read those questions and comments and really stew on them for as long as it takes him to figure out an answer. I think that benefits him. Also, Miyukis answer to me has always seemed half truth, half sugar coated lol. Like I dont think he has a team in mind that he's gunning to play for at this time but I do think he's thought about it a decent amount. Miyuki is absolutely good enough to get drafted right out of high school. He probably wouldn't have to go to college or university if he didn't want. But I think his answer was good as the captain of the team. Regardless of if his teammates believed what he was saying or not. It's important that none of them get too ahead of themselves. Its also such a good parallel to the conversation Miyuki had with them in season 2 after his fight with Zono where he said "we aren't here to hold hands and play house". That compared to "I'm only thinking about getting to koshien with you guys" is just so good lol. Hes grown into such a good captain.
