Hello Patrons!
Just dropping by to fill you in with a bit of a production update on Episode 160. The 1960 New York Mid-air collision. I arrived back from my trip to New York this morning. I am very jetlagged so I am looking forward to my bed tonight. However, before I left I had pieced together the workings of a cinematic opening for this one, like in the Air India 182 video. Whilst I was in New York I shot tons and tons of B-roll, some of which has made its way into this opening cinematic. I thought I'd take the opportunity to share this early version of the intro, featuring a custom rendition of Silent Night performed by my good friend Rosalyn, she also helped with some music on the Buddy Holly video. She is super cool.
Anyway, hit me with your thoughts on this intro. It is still an early version of it and tweaks will still be made. Rosalyn still needs to finish the final piece for the music here. I'll be sharing this with the Twitter followers tomorrow I think.
So where is this video at, at the moment. It still has ways to go before its complete. The script is finished and ready to go and this will be the biggest video on the channel to date. It will be over one hour in length, it has the longest script of any video in the series. Beating out the United 585 video.
I do expect to have this video completed by Christmas though, rounding off the year in terms of videos.
One other things I should mention. A number of posts back I mentioned something about a Patreon exclusive video coming to you. That is still happening and that has now reached the editing stage and has been something I have been working on a little bit between videos these past few months. It's not going to be super long but its about an incident that I personally found very interesting and I also look forward to sharing that with you, hopefully in the new year.
Thank you all so much for the support :)
