Early Access - The Consequences of Those Who Didn't Care

Hello Patrons.

I am thrilled to bring you the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961 video, Episode 159!!!

I decided to implement a few new things in this video. Firstly a new type of intro where I actually give a piece to camera... (sort of). We've also got some different maps and things. let me know what you think, I'd love your feedback. I have one thing I need to tweak with this video so I'll do that tomorrow. So I will be swapping out the video with the final version real quick as soon as possible :)

I do what to make a note here of something. You guys really helped this video get to where it is. I forward the entire Patreon fund for this month to the license necessary to secure the Marinda Gouws recording. I wasn't just going to rip stuff from YouTube, this is actually relatively high quality for a recording from 1996 and has a higher frame rate too. This video just wouldn't have been the same without your contributions.

I would like to keep you all in the loop as to what is happening with the next video. Episode 160, that will release some time in December will be on the 1960 New York Mid Air Collision. It is a video I have put off from making all year as I guess it would make for a good "Christmas Video". So, I will be travelling out to New York to visit two different crash sites, gathering footage, making a few stops along the way to key locations, primarily in Brooklyn and Staten Island. I will be Flying out on December 1st, literally just going to be there for a couple of days to get what I need done and flying home. It is again, thanks to your contributions that I am now able to take my videos to this higher level.

Your mom was a hero that day.

Also, since this is Patreon not the internet at large lol - My mom was a flight attendant for 54 years for a number of airlines that eventually merged into Delta. In the early 70s while working for Western Airlines, I believe, she was part of a changeover crew in a US based hijacking that ended up diverting to Cuba. But they convinced the hijacker to refuel the plane and let them switch out crew. My mom, fearful for her crew, volunteered to take their place on the next leg. The hijacker was a mentally unstable political dissenter who wanted to go to Vietnam, but they compromised by taking the plane to Cuba. Upon landing, he was arrested. I've been trying to figure out which hijacking this was in the news, because my mom's memory is not 100%, and I don't want to bother her by asking her about this again (as it was understandably traumatic) but there are SO MANY possibilities just per Wikipedia!! ....sorry, there was not really a point to this story, other than to say, the "fuel diversion" bit of this video made me think of my mom. Again, thank you for this one - it was really outstanding!
