2022-08-19 20:21:42 +0000 UTCI. Love. Their. RIVALRY!!!!!! Its literally my favorite rivalry in sports anime... shit in anime period! And yes Eijun was talking about Furuya pitching differently. He was basically pitching to contact like Eijun does instead of with his normal canon (which Eijun was saying he has everything he doesnt because he obviously cant pitch that fast and get straight strikes. Eijun pitches to get outs with the fielders whilst Furuya pitches to get strikes.) And Furuya is not very good at pitching like Eijun does so thats why he was copying his "relax your entire body focus on the mitt" thing that Eijun does. So its amazing that Eijun was the first (other than Miyuki ofc) to notice that he was pitching so differently! Also I really like that analogy you gave! Its like theres a rope connected to both of them so the person who is ahead constantly pulls the other one with them and if he starts to fall behind the person behind them can push them forward, maintaining the that tension on the rope. If the person ahead isnt far enough he wont be able to pull the other with him so then the person who is behind can push them back up and in doing so they BOTH move further thus improving together! Damn I can write a whole ass college dissertation on that analogy alone :D
