2022-08-13 19:27:15 +0000 UTCHey Lax. As you know, they walked Haruichi because they believe Zono is an easier out to get because he is a weaker batter in their eyes. But also, with 2 outs, it means any out ends the inning. Even if the runner on 3rd crosses home plate before they get the "out". So that means either a pop fly catch or an out at any base means they end the inning still with the lead. Hope that makes sense!
