Damn, this has got to be my third or fourth time watching this show but you got me crying right there with you. Also, replicating Chris's training menu would be so fun to watch!

Love the Ace stuff man, because just like you said, it’s so underrated. It’s nice seeing somebody giving it a chance and reacting to it, because it deserves it! That Chris moment never fails to get me

Super glad I wasn't the only one who cried during this episode. And yes, this series is ridiculously underrated. I'm not sure if you noticed it, but all of the extra training menus that Chris gave Sawamura were for core and muscle stability and injury prevention. The trainer girl even mentioned that, while there were a lot of exercises, there was a relatively low number of reps and even Sawamura complained last episode that Chris had him stretching for 30 minutes. Because Sawamura never played high-level baseball with a competent coach or strength trainer, he doesn't know about how to protect or take care of his body. As his "flexible wrist and supple shoulder" are the main assets for his style of pitching, it's even more imperative that he avoid getting injured. As for Chris not giving him the time of day, I always thought that it was either one of two possibilities. Either Chris was testing Sawamura's resolve (since Furuya will always be the one that people look to first because of his hard-throwing, flashy style and the sound the catcher's glove makes), or Chris was trying to instill in Sawamura that he needed to not rush and build up his skill over time (thus the "364 days" comment), since Sawamura has three years here to try and take the ace position.
