[COMMENTARY] Why, Shigu

Posting this here 'cause I thought y'all might be interested in some of my thinking.

Drago commissioned me to draw a Shigu soldier all +700-style. In the official Vilous canon, the Shigu Dukedom is an imperialist faction (led by the famous Rain Silves) that aims to spread advanced technology and prosperity throughout Tal by force. The military campaign ultimately exhausts itself in the canon.

In +700 the faction is back as the Shigu Restorationists, now fueled with a renewed passion since first contact with the Terrans and Ikamo. Armed with new railgun tech and armour they've reignited a new civil war.

In terms of inspiration for antagonistic factions the Third Reich was an obvious choice, however I found more parallels between the Shigu and with the Imperial Japanese in World War 2, namely in the motivations that are noble but then are carried out in atrocious ways. It's more difficult to base them off like this than Nazis if only because alt-history with the latter is more done, but I'm going to do my best.

Need more variety in the kind of imperialists to mow down, I guess.
