I always dislike when comics have pages that derail from the weight gain content - but unfortunately this is necessary for the story I'm trying to tell right now!
Hopefully you enjoy all the plump characters delivering the exposition for the next few pages at the very least.
There should only be a few pages of exposition to steer the plot logically towards where I want it to go - and then I'll be exclusively drawing some of the largest characters my brain can muster getting... well... larger.
