2025-10-19 07:16:16 +0000 UTCI’ll say this, and this is completely discounting all of his baggage, so I feel like I’m being unbiased here, I really feel that Alberto never really lived up to what WWE wanted him to be. Before all the stuff came out about him, I thought he did genuinely come off as a star in Ring of Honor and Lucha Underground, but WWE, he was always kind of mid. They presented him well from the beginning, cool vignettes, a personal ring announcer, a pretty good theme song, a sweet new car in virtually every arena he went to, and just a great gimmick all around, and yet, he just never lived up to the hype, and once again, all of that is before you even take into account all of his personal issues.

Also there have been rumors for years that WWE was looking at bringing him back, Yes even in recent years. Most fans don't want him even in the business.
