Watched during this run, but not their first. DX wasn’t mainstream cool at this time, but neither was WWE like it was in the Attitude Era. This run was cool for fans, but it was a common sentiment that their humor was dated. I guess I’d describe it as positive vibes rather than the “cool” of their first run. But what people liked most was seeing HHH in a different role after dominating the title scene for so long. He needed it.

2025-05-19 17:08:01 +0000 UTCI was too young to see the original DX, I was around when they came back in 2006, but I wasn’t watching religiously back then, this was the first time that I saw them, and I loved them, but I do know that a lot of fans have mixed feelings about this era of DX because the WWE was PG, and DX, at least in its original form, was anything but, but I still love it, and I think it takes more talent to be funny when your PG, and because of that talent, I find it funnier than just the low hanging fruit that results in being able to say whatever.
