I think the issue is he hasn’t had a boss like Vince in AEW so he’s been able to drag out characters past their shelf life instead of reinventing himself before that happens. That and I think he’s probably gotten lazier too.

2025-05-10 00:54:22 +0000 UTCAlso the whole "The List" gimmick Jericho did was during his 2016-2017 run with Kevin Owens. Jericho was always great at re-inventing himself. He re-invented himself in 1999, 2004, 2007, 2012, 2016, and 2019. He always did good at re-iventing himself until about 2022. It feels like he should return to wwe when his contract expires later this year. He's just not been doing too well the last three years in aew, and I think a change of scenery might do him well.
