I hate this match so much.

2025-06-12 16:41:19 +0000 UTCI know that Josh‘s obsession in wrestling is like referees, mine is commentators, I would have loved to have been a wrestler, but being partially blind there’s obviously some problems with that, but commentary is something I actually think I could do, and I think I could do it well, so I in particular pay a lot of attention to it, and boy did I hate the commentary in this match. I thought it was stupid to go the WCWVSWWE route at this point whenever it had literally been almost a decade and a half since that had been definitively settled, and I hate how the WWE always portrays WCW like some Mickey Mouse company when, in fact, for a brief moment, it was the biggest wrestling company in the world. Keep in mind I am a lifelong WWE fan and I’m only 27, so I don’t even have any living memory of WCW, but I love wrestling history and it’s just really annoying. That being said, for the homework assignment, I think Adam Page is the most Analogous to Sting that we could have, and I think he should face Cody Rhodes, because he is a guy that I think now very clearly lives and breathes WWE, but it would even be more interesting than this match was, because while HHH did spend some time in WCW, he wasn’t nearly as significant to that company as Cody was to AEW, and asked for the runs, of course the elite have to help out Adam page, and much like the NWO helping Sting made no sense in this match if you remember how everything actually went down in WCW, we would have to throw Kayfabe out the window for this, but of course the Bloodline has to help Cody.

Cena where Rusev comes in on the tank, Randy Orton countering Seth's curbstomp into an rko, and the Heist of the Century all in one single Wrestlemania. And the fact that those six matches were six of the seven on the card is insane. Goated.

As far as your question at the end goes, I pretty much agree with Tally. Bloodline vs The Elite would be great. Would love to find a way for Cody, Seth and Moxley to be included as well on their respective sides. Would be so cool. Roman vs Kenny with Jimmy, Jey, Seth, Moxley, Hangman and the Bucks getting involved. That would be so awesome.

He was only in the Wolfpac which only had Kevin Nash. It’s still a cool moment though. And to answer Josh’s question at the end, I think it’d be something like Bron Breakker with Seth Rollins and whoever else joins that faction vs, I think, MJF with the Elite (which would make more sense than the NWO helping Sting).
