I know I’m really late to this post so y’all might not even see this, but just wanted to mention that chanting was a thing back then, but it was really more pertaining specifically to wrestlers in the ring, i.e. negative chance towards bad guys or chanting in support of the good guys, But most of the noise made by the crowd, and in some ways it was a lot more noise back then than now actually with the chance, was them booing really loudly when the bad guy had control or cheering uncontrollably when the good guy was in control. Chance like what you’re thinking of kind of started picking up steam in the 90s due to ECW and enter the WWE in the late 90s, this is awesome stuff though started mostly an independent shows and on TNA shows in the mid 2000s, but it really didn’t start entering WWE until the extremely late 2000s or early 2010s, all the random chance that are a lot more creative like the ones you hear nowadays are definitely a product of the last 10 years or so, I’d say 2013 is where things really started to pick up in that department, specifically the RAW after wrestlemania in 2013, which is notoriously one of the best wrestling crowds in history. Hopefully this helps if y’all ever do see this

I'm pretty sure that at least some of the AEW PPVs have been shown in theaters. I never got around to going to any of them though.

Wwe shows used to be in movie theaters. I remember I watched summerslam 2005 in a movie theater. I guess it hasn’t been a thing for a long time now but it was fun back in the day.

This match hasn't aged well in the sense that it doesn't stand out the way it would have back then. This was arguably the first high profile "high work-rate" match in WWE. With intricate near fall spam etc. That's why this match is thought of so highly, because it was so influential.
