Truth or Lie Challenge! (YouTube Video)

MAXX & TALLY TIERS!

You guys loved the "Wrestling Truth or Lie Challenge" when it featured Tally, so we're running it back!

All submissions can be about wrestlers, promotions, matches, or anything about pro wrestling.

Directions:

1. One submission per person. Comment something wild or hard to believe that either DID or DID NOT happen in the history of pro wrestling.

2. If you choose to send a LIE, please do not make the lie "Well it happened... but ACTUALLY it happened on Smackdown.. not Raw.." Make your lies things that completely did not happen, rather than changing tiny details about a truth.

3. Put the ANSWER to your submission in a REPLY comment to your own comment. Feel free to give as much context or explanation in the reply as you see fit.

4. Tally will be the one guessing the answers, and she will not see this post. So no worries there!

5. I can't guarantee everyone's will make it in the final cut of the video, but if yours is selected, your username will be shown in the video!

This is FALSE. Cena's first PPV match was against Chris Jericho at the Vengeance event in July 2002

Adam Nelson

John Cena's first PPV match was against The Undertaker.

Adam Nelson

Thanks y’all, mistake fixed.

Ian Hernandez

TRUTH! Snooki and her team, which included Trish Stratus and John Morrison, won their match at WrestleMania 27 on April 3, 2011. They competed in a six-person mixed tag team match against LayCool (Layla and Michelle McCool) and Dolph Ziggler. Because of her win Snooki has a wrestlemania record of 1-0, making her Undefeated at wrestlemania along with names such as Snoop Dogg, Floyd Mayweather, Johnny Knoxville, Michael Cole, Mr. T, Rob Gronkowski, Bad Bunny, Nicholas (the 9-year-old boy), Vicki Guerrero, Dusty Rhodes, AJ Lee, Bianca Belair, Chyna, etc.

dontwoahthenoah

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi (from Jersey Shore reality show) has more WrestleMania victories than Asuka, Goldust, Big E, Xavier Woods, MVP, Dominik Mysterio, Bob Backlund, Carlito, Chad Gable, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Gail Kim, Kairi Sane, Ken Shamrock, Ricochet, X-PAC, Umaga, William Regal, Bruno Sammartino, Cowboy Bob Orton, Chelsea Green, Ivory, Johnny Gargano, Raquel Rodriguez, Sonya Deville, The Dudley Boyz, Wade Barrett, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Sting, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, and Shinsuke Nakamura.

This is true! It was indeed a real cobra that had undergone a real surgery known as venomoid that essentially removed the venom glands Which left it unable to truly poison Randy The real problem was actually getting it to let go as it was a long and grueling process as the more people attempted to pull it off the deeper it would bite to hold on it was fascinating and disturbing all the same

Paul Watson

Randy Savage was in a storyline with Jake "The Snake Roberts" where in one segment he gets tied up in the ring ropes where Jake then placed a King Cobra near the arm of Randy where the snake would then bite and refuse to let go

Paul Watson

True! He's 0-5 in TLC matches in WWE.

prototype27

Jeff Hardy, one of the inventors of the TLC match, has never won a TLC match in his WWE career.

prototype27

Suicide was played by numerous people over the years including current TNA wrestler Frankie Kazarian, Christopher Daniels, Kazuchika Okada,, the Cruiserweight Classic winner and inaugural Cruiserweight Champion (2016-2022) T.J. Perkins and Rascalz member Zachary Wentz.

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

And their real marriage was the week after No Mercy where Vince and Stephanie had a I Quit match

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

It was to film The Marine. The stabbing also happened in a Boston njghtclub. Cena then came back and squashed Carlito’s bodyguard at Armageddon 2004.

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

Didn’t Lincoln wrestle a bear lol

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

False: Muldoon learned how to wrestle when he joined the Union Army during the Civil War, though he had no relationship to Lincoln. Lincoln did wrestle in his youth however, although the extent and to which he did and his prowess seems to have been mythologized over the years. Lincoln is in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame though for what it’s worth. Muldoon actually trained with another man who would become president, Theodore Roosevelt.

Lucas Biersack

William Muldoon, one of, if not the first person to wrestle as a professional career, trained with Abraham Lincoln.

Lucas Biersack

True. Motörhead played The Game at WrestleMania X-Seven (17) before Triple H’s match with The Undertaker (where lead singer Lemmy forgot the lyrics so he just made it up on the fly) and again at WrestleMania 21 for his World Heavyweight Championship match against Batista in the main event. Both times Triple H lost.

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

The British heavy metal band Motorhead have played Triple H to the the ring twice at WrestleMania.

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

Was that it actually? It could’ve just been the marine thing.

Ian Hernandez

This is definitely false. Just wanted to help you out since you’ve been getting lots of true submissions and I felt kind of bad. I tried to make it as realistic sounding as possible to throw Tally off with references to Vince McMahon‘s insane mind and my own personal commentary as to wondering why this guy never took off. Just to make note of this, since wrestling is very weird, to the best of my knowledge, which is a lot, nothing remotely close to this has ever been done. I mean sure, when Dusty Rhodes was coming to the WWE, they did shoot some vignettes of him doing every day working man jobs, but obviously nothing at all like what I mentioned, they would just show him like cleaning car windows and stuff like that, so that’s the closest thing to what I came up with, but I feel like my submission was sufficiently absurd and not at all close to anything that has ever been done.

Ian Hernandez

And do the movie The Marine

Phillyman!!

WWE in 2005 created a wrestler named Average Joe. Vignettes were shown of him sitting on his couch with a beer gut eating hot Cheetos and drinking Miller light. In one particularly infamous vignette hyping up his debut, they actually showed him picking lint out of his belly button and tasting it, Vince McMahon thought this was so funny, for his very short career, Vince had him call his finisher the belly button splash. I can’t imagine why this gimmick never took off.

Ian Hernandez

This is actually true. If I’m not mistaken, the company needed a reason to write off Cena for a month so he could go film the Marine.

Ian Hernandez

Once, while he was feuding with Carlito, John Cena was in an angle where Carlito‘s bodyguard stabbed him.

Ian Hernandez

A beautiful marriage ever since 😂😂😂

Phillyman!!

True, Test had defeated Shane McMahon in a match that give him the blessing to marry Stephanie. But after Triple H's intervention the story continued as Vince McMahon himself challenge Triple H to a street fight and Stephanie turning heel and aligning with Triple H. Also, their real marriage was in 2003.

Vansonny

In 1999, Stephanie McMahon was due to marry Test on air, but before the "I DO's" Triple H revealed he had already married Stephanie McMahon after drugging her in Las Vegas.

Vansonny

True - Suicide first appeared as a character in the 2008 video game TNA Impact. In December 2008, the Suicide character was introduced on television as a real-life wrestler. debuting at Final Resolution 2008 PPV and attacking The Motor City Machine Guns and in 2013 they changed the name of the gimmick to Maink for obvious reasons

RW____96

TNA released a game in September 2008 called TNA Impact where the main story you played as a made up wrestler called Suicide. True or False - Suicide became a real wrestler that wrestled for years in TNA after the game came out?

RW____96

True...sort of. In 2011, Kelly Kelly teamed with World Heavyweight Champion Edge in a 2 on 3 handicap match, in which the World Heavyweight Championship was in the line. Kelly got the pinfall, successfully retaining the World title for Edge.

aloneinabox

Former Divas Champion Kelly Kelly has successfully defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

aloneinabox

100% False :)

Chris

On a 2007 episode of Smackdown, The Miz lost a match against Spider-Man, as part of a cross promotional marketing stunt for the release of Spider-Man 3. To be clear, I don't mean he lost a match to Tobey Maguire. He lost to a fully costumed wrestler billed as "Spider-Man". (Who most suspect was actually Kofi Kingston).

Chris

False! Well not really. This story is 100% true but it’s Batista who was inquired about, not edge.

Mahmood Al Mardi

For the 2000s and 2010s there was a famous running joke among the iwc where people kept on asking how big Edge’s dick was. The reason is that he was sleeping around with a lot of divas backstage. It got so wide spread that it was a joke question that was asked in any wrestler fan qna for a while

Mahmood Al Mardi

It was changed as a referee appearance*

Phillyman!!

False. Actually Tyson was originally going to WRESTLE Hulk Hogan in a match UNTIL he was upset by Buster and buster ultimately got the referee spot For the hulk vs randy savage match

Phillyman!!

True. The wrestler was Brodie Lee (F.K.A WWE's Luke Harper), leader of the Dark Order. RIP Brodie.

Charlie

AEW had a character that was a parody of Vince McMahon, and would copy a lot of his neurotic mannerisms such as not letting people start their meals before he's finished, and kicking peolpe out of the room for sneezing.

Charlie

This is true. During the 90s, there was a tag team called “The Headbangers” consisting of two wrestlers named Mosh and Thrasher. After Thrasher got injured they turned Mosh into Beaver Cleavage to give him something to do until Thrasher could return

Zach Faulkner

WWE once had a wrestler named Beaver Cleavage. An obvious spoof of the main character from the tv show “Leave it to Beaver” It was implied that there was an incestuous relationship between him and his mother “Mrs. Cleavage” where Beaver would find himself in sexualized positions with his mother and look into the camera at the audience and wiggle his eye brows to show he purposely orchestrated it.

Zach Faulkner

Back in February 1990 after losing to buster Douglas, Mike Tyson appeared in WWF for a guest referee/outside enforcer for a title match between hulk hogan vs randy Savage.
