Glad you got to see it!

I haven't seen any of there matches, so I'm binging all of them in prep for their All In match. And wow truly one of the best matches I've ever seen. And I still have 3 more to go. Can't wait.

Chris

Ah man. Hadn’t watched this in 8 years but remembered so many spots. Pausing to look up what wrist tape does aside, amazing watchalong. I can’t believe you had watched Omega vs Will before this and didn’t get worn out. I like these matches without the Callis stuff way more.

Big Ell

So glad you guys enjoyed it. This is the match that turned both Omega and Okada into legends they're today. This is the match that got Dave Meltzer to break his 5 Star Ratings System and starting the trend "If this was on Tokyo Dome it would've been 5+ Stars"

Ankit Sharma

What an amazing reaction! Hopefully #2 is submitted so you can enjoy the full ride all the way to the 4th (or 3rd depending on who you ask).

Varits Vq

Best match ever status for a good reason

Diruroru

My favorite new Japan match.

Flynn Vicci

I watched this back when it happened and I was not impressed by Omega. Okada, I was. Interested to see if I still think the same now

I’ve watched this match so many times, and this might actually be the most fun I’ve ever had watching it. I mean it’s truly incomprehensively amazing! I can’t wait till y’all get to the match that I submitted, because if you recall, it was John Cena VS AJ Styles, which took place in the same month as this masterpiece, and there were many debates at the time as to which match was better, so that gives you an idea of how good of a match that one was. There has been a majority consensus reached online as to which one was better, but I don’t want to sway your opinion one way or another, suffice it to say, both matches are incredible, and so completely different, there is a pretty cool feature of the Cena Styles match that y’all should be on the lookout for but probably won’t notice, and I will mention it once y’all have reacted to it, but if y’all do notice it, big props to you, because I didn’t notice it when I was there live, nor when I watched it back, I guess in fairness when I was there live I couldn’t really see from how far away I was, but anyways, since you’ve already seen this match, I can talk a little bit more in depth about it, but Okada’s face when Kenny kicked out was maybe the best face after a kick out ever that I have personally seen, and that’s the extra special feature of this match that I will point out. Usually when a wrestler kicks out of a finisher, the guy who hit the finisher will usually crash out and act like he is having a seizure or something, but Okada didn’t do that, he just looked sad, depressed, almost as if to say, I literally can’t beat this man, there is nothing I can do on this planet to Kenny Omega that will force him to stay down for the three count, I mean just pure professional wrestling excellence this match was and is.

This match had me going crazy back in the day

Thank you brother! I most definitely I intend to watch the second match later on today and we'll see if I need help for that one(keep this in mind for their fourth match tho imma definitely need help with that one so I appreciate it man)

Paul Watson

Oh trust me y'all are getting the rest of these matches This series of matches are very special to me and I feel honored to share them with y'all As for AEW and Omega/Okada It's definitely the All In match I can feel it lmao Just gotta get y'all caught up to speed before we get there then

Paul Watson

This was absolutely incredible! If we are lucky enough to see the whole series, damn I already know I'm gonna cry again lol. And maybe we'll still see Okada vs Omega on AEW! He was the one to hand over the title to Okada at the end of his tournament 👀

Tallywags

I loved it!

Tallywags

Been watching wrestling for 24 years, this is the greatest/best wrestling match I’ve ever seen in my life. I have not watched this back since I watched it at 4 AM on 1/4/17. I’ve never felt what I felt that night ever again. I will not be watching this back with you guys either, I’m scared to mess with my perfect memory of it. Hope you enjoyed it lol

Harjiv Singh

This is maybe the greatest professional wrestling match of all time imo

punkfan6

If you need another person to help suggest the other matches. I'll gladly help if it mean them getting to see the rest

Drew Or Die

I'm so glad you guys are finally getting around to seeing this match. The Kenny vs Okada series of matches is easily my favorite series of matches ever. This is the series that took Kenny to the next level and solidified him as not just a main eventer but a generational talent. I hope you're able to watch the other matches someday, even though they all push or exceed the hour mark.

Drew Or Die

This is a legendary match and one of the greatest storytelling matches imo. The in-ring work was built upon how dangerous both of their finishers are. The teases and desperation of both of them trying to avoid getting hit with the "rainmaker" and "One Winged Angel." Along with them selling the exhaustion and fatigue to help make you feel that the match could've ended anytime in those final minutes. It's why Kenny kicking out of that first Rainmaker was so perfectly executed (glad you guys popped for it). Almost no one kicks out of Okada's tombstone + Rainmaker combo, and considering how great the match already was at that point, Kenny could've lost there and no one would've complained. However, him kicking out allowed for that "holy shit" moment along with them going an extra like 5 minutes to produce one of the best closing stretches in wrestling. To me, they weren't just abusing near-falls for a cheap pop, but rather masterfully utilizing them. Add in the fact that Kenny never got to hit the "One Winged Angel," which sets up their sequel(s) perfectly. I understand the slowburn type of matches isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it really helps to build up that drama and emotion for the second half of the match (especially for a big match like this one). A lot of what Okada and Omega did in the first half had an impact on the second half. I mean damn, it got Tally emotional and the people in the crowd in tears.

lolstone

My only solution to finish the series out is having problem use their submission to finish out the match lol This is a thing I'll probably have to do with the second match and *definitely with the fourth match

Paul Watson

I intend to bring some people in to finish this series out I will not let the magic die

Paul Watson

Alright Tally I want you to understand you crying at one of my submissions in the biggest compliment you could've given me lmao I'm SO glad y'all enjoyed it this match seeing y'all freak out at the Rainmaker kickout is WHY I prefer rare finisher kickouts Okada worked the whole match to pull off the Rainmaker and he couldn't keep him down with it As a matter of fact he couldn't beat Kenny until he beat every last drop of willpower out of his body Just incredible Y'all are making me consider submitting Okada/Omega Round 2 next month(in order so somebody please don't send in round 3 out of context thank you) I'm so happy y'all enjoyed so much lol

Paul Watson

That was incredible. It was also a joy to watch with you and find myself reacting the same way.

BazMan01

Finally the greatest series of matches in Pro Wrestling history! So excited!

Daniel Santos

Ok done watching 👌 This is the match that transcended Omega from a great performer & potential main eventer to the bonafide megastar that he's known today. This is the match that made Okada, who by then already the New Japan ace, into a living legend. This is the match that made these two & New Japan become the talk of the wrestling world, not just amongst the hardcode fans. This is the match that Dave Meltzer (in)famously broke his 5-star rating system, which started a trend that, for the better or the worse, made him the villain in the eyes of IWC as we know today. Funny enough, the whole "If this match happened in Tokyo Dome, it would get *inserted 5+* stars" joke is because of this. And you guys just witnessed the start of the legendary series that, at the time, would change New Japan & pro wrestling forever. Like believe me, what you felt watching the match (especially the kickout) was the same as anybody watching it live in real-time. The thing is Okada's finisher at the time was quite protected, not Omega's level of protected, but so rarely had anybody kick-out of it, let alone surviving more than one. So when Kenny kicked out nobody could figure out how & when it could end. Tally's emotional tear was the same as these fangirls in the video, & Josh said it best. Isn't it great when pro wrestling can make us FEEL? As Tally mentioned, Omega hit none of OWA. He survived through multiple Rainmakers. So Omega did survive Okada's best, the question is so did Okada? Could he survive if Omega hit him with the OWA? That will be the theme into their rematch. Now in case you guys are interested in watching next match, there's only one problem needing to be solved: the limit of content duration. FUN FACT: This match went officially 47:15, at the time this match happened it was the longest main event in Tokyo Dome history! Who knew how long they could go the next time? I don't want to spoil it out, but if you can make an exception for this series to be continued i would be so grateful. Anyways great reaction. You guys made my day, i bet Omega & Okada made yours too. Thanks!

Nathan Morningstarz

Will kill to potentially see the other three matches in order. Okada and Omega have magic that is on the highest level as far as pro-wrestling goes.

TheFlamingShark

you should watch the rest of their series, but be warned, the second match is around an hour, and the 4th match, which, IMO is the greatest match of all time, is about 1hr 35 minutes. but after watching your guy's reaction I think its worth it

This is the first match of the best series of matches ever and more importantly the best wrestling story ever imo. Their 4th match is genuinely perfect and I think is the greatest match of all time, it made me cry lol. Don't know if you will react to them all because a couple are around or over an hour but I promise they are all worth watching in order. Glad you both enjoyed the first one.

Michael Hay

Yeah Tally's right the wrist tape is for grip

Charlie

Regarding the twisting suplexes that you mentioned, the Jackhammer is probably right up your alley Also I hope the rest of their trilogy gets submitted

Gai Valentine

Oh god, i haven't started watching the video yet but just want to say my wish has came true hurray

Nathan Morningstarz

I mean its 2am I should go to bet, all I could watch you guys react to the most important match in wrestling history

She give me that Schloppy Toppy like 500,000 Vroombah Vroombah harley davidson's till my Mediun Size meng turns into a Big Meng
