Main Event Mafia that Kurt represented was a heel group consisting of himself, Sting, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner and Booker T.

They got rid of the ring around a year later when Hogan and Bischoff came in and tried to turn TNA into a competitor for WWE, making mistakes that were made in WCW.

Jesus Kurt’s TNA is unfitting not to mention bad (as someone who doesn’t like rap). They gave Sting a similarly bad, unfitting song.

Bro his heel promos are so boring, especially the ones in that era. Later in his career, I thought they got better, but I still maintain what I said earlier, as a face, his promos are actually really good, and that’s been true since his early career, like if you watch USWA, he made a pretty good southern babyface, maybe it’s because he’s actually a really nice guy, because when he tries to be cool and evil and stuff, it just comes off like he’s playing wrestler, I know that notoriously, lots of heels are super nice in person also, but whatever, point is, old Double J never did it for me.

Where I'm at with WrestlingBios Reliving the War, April 2000, Jarrett has cut pretty much the same promo every week.

Yeah for sure, I thought Booker was always a better option in WCW in that time period, If you wanted to go the bad guy route, Scott Steiner was right there

Not a lot of people did buy him as a main eventer. He was only a main eventer in WCW because he and Russo were mates and there was basically no one else.

It’s a weird thing with Jeff Jarrett, I always found his in ring work to be better as a heel, but I always found his promos to be better as a face. I personally never bought him at the main event level, and I’m not trying to be a jerk, that’s just my opinion. I always thought that everywhere he ever was, there was a better option, though as he got older, I think he could have been a guy, and often was this guy, who could challenge for a top belt every once in a while and be a believable legend Trying to have one last run on top.

The irony about Jarrett as people are sort of finding out now, is Jarrett was actually a great babyface in Memphis when he started out, but he got stuck in the heel role and only got short stints since the mid-90s to shine in that.

Lot of people shit on Jarrett and say he was just a midcard nobody who's only fame was his guitar shots but he was pretty good in the ring and was a good world champion in TNA and had some great feuds, He was also one of the last world champions of WCW, And i believe if he remained in good graces with Vince he could have possibly rised up to the main event in WWE eventually if not a solid upper card guy challenging for the belt but never winning it.

RIP commentator Don West... he always brought S teir energy to every call I ever heard him making💯

Funnily enough it was AJ talking about this on Austin's old podcast where I learnt they didn't like it. Guess he was of two minds about it. https://youtube.com/shorts/v2WIPiegjUQ?si=Bj6JyEzpSlskWqAq

Part of the Wrestlers seemed to have liked the six sided ring, some not. I personally missed it alot, when TNA got rid of it (90 second video with AJ Styles, JJ and Sting about that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzO3gM0H97U

Markus Ruoff

Well, fair enough then lol still looked cool at least.

Dport

TNA stopped using the 6 sided ring because the wrestlers hated it. The shorter ropes meant they were more painful to run, and the boards were tighter so it was harder to bump on.
