2024-12-24 15:40:29 +0000 UTCIt is true that for Best 2 out of 3 fall matches, the final score will almost always be 2-1 rather than 2-0 which kind of eliminates a little of the unpredictability especially for the second pin fall. However, I think when it comes to stipulations such as best 2 out of 3 or Iron-man matches, you more-so approach it in a way on seeing the story they're trying to tell in the ring and the psychology happening throughout. How they are strategizing, how they are building up to each pin fall wins, are certain moves or finishers gonna impact them heavily throughout the rest of the match, etc. There's a lot of matches that definitely feel like the stipulation is only there just to build up anticipation for the final pin fall, but a really well done best 2 out of 3 falls match is when they express and focus more on the in-ring psychology and storytelling that builds up to each pin-fall imo. I really like this match and I think the chaotic nature of how they're able to just interfere many times to save their teammate helps a lot with the match feeling a lot more raw and made a lot of the pin-falls and submissions felt like they mattered. This match also still managed to capture those amazing and believable near falls in the end. This was a great suggestion!

2024-12-23 01:01:23 +0000 UTCA couple of things - 1.) AJW & JWP were seperate all-women (joshi) promotions. AJW was basically the only women's promotion from the mid-60's to the early 90's, but eventually competition sprung up due to some of their strict 'idol'-type rules (ie. retirmement at 26 no matter what, no dating, etc.), and eventually various women either were turned own by AJW when they were at their height (in the mid-80's, in their yearly tryouts, they were getting thousands of applicants for a few dozen spots in their dojo), who were older but still wanted to wrestle, and so forth former their own promotions, and JWP was once of those. While these inter-promotional matches were big business at the start, they also in a way burned out things out, which combined with a lack of new stars, and too many promotions (basically every star of the 90's formed their own promotion) led to long period of a weak joshi scene as far as attendance went from the early 2000's to basically the mid-2010's with the rise of STARDOM and such. 2.) As far as interpromotional matches go, you stumbled on the way the few AWA vs. NWA or NWA vs. WWWF title matches went that happened in the 60's and 70's. Otherwise, in general, from what I know, it wasn't directly a contract, but more an agremeent and obviously, if things went bad in an earlier match, the other side could pull out. In reality, what really dictated things were how strong each promotions was. For instance, New Japan did a cross-promotion feud w/ a few different smaller companies in the mid-to-late 90's and in almost every case, New Japan dominated the inter-promotional matches, but being on a big NJPW show was worth it for the smaller company.

2024-12-22 23:54:34 +0000 UTCYeah I just meant how they'd tag when they were already in the ring near the corner. Not really a big thing 👀 These women went ham for like the whole match. Crazy stuff. And hey that 3 count at the end was questionable! Interpromotional shenanigans? Oo I don't know. There would be re matches however I clearly wanted the entrances for the city pop banger . Merry holidays
