Likely the main reason Trick hasn't been called up is the lack of depth in NXT's Men's Division at least in terms of main event players right now. They do have PLENTY of guys who will definitely be main event guys in the very near future in NXT, but they haven't gotten to the point of giving them that proper rub just yet. So letting Trick be that guy a bit longer while he solidifies his ring experience so he'll be the complete package when he hits the main roster ain't the worst idea. Dragunov and Melo both had several years of experience in the indies as well before hitting WWE while Trick was a football player who's only ring experience has come from his NXT tenure so they're probably just being a bit more cautious on fast-tracking him despite his extreme likability

2024-12-21 05:07:58 +0000 UTCI think the reason Trick is still in NXT is because he's still green in the ring, so it doesn't hurt to give him an extended main event role in NXT. I think it has helped him. Also, NXT's mens roster is very thin, so they actually need him, since he's the #1 NXT star. I think he will move up after stand and deliver. But who knows, New Years Evil is right before the Netflix debut. So he could theoretically drop the title and move up.

Trick has likeability for forever but he’s just got to get the kinks worked out in what he does. Ilya it sucks that he got injured as severe as it is he was on a nice run there on the main roster. It’s only prolonging Ilya vs Gunther but hey that just means they’re gonna make more money off of it in the long run. When Trick gets to the main roster having had more reps in NXT and just gotten more things down pat he’ll be a force to be reckoned with.
