Maaaan I took the night off work for this show to take my little brothers to see WWE. When they announced there would be a shield trips match my youngest brother almost fainted from screaming so loud. We weren't expecting the camera crew, and they kinda looked like they were fumbling around an area that wasn't meant for filming, but what an absolute night. I still love wearing my Iowa's Own Seth Rollins tee I bought at this show in our local Hawkeye color scheme. It's one of two house shows I ever drove my younger brothers to, and I wouldn't trade that for anything

2025-02-18 01:06:39 +0000 UTCI don't personally see Jon going back to WWE unless it's for like a HOF induction for the Shield (which they definitely will do at some point) or AEW goes under, which I don't predict happening. I'd say there would be less chance if Vince was still in charge because Jon was booked terribly in the last bit of his run there, to the point where he dreaded cutting promos because he hated and was offended by what he was being told to do and say. I think he's in a much better place in AEW now and he did the right thing by leaving when he did.

2024-11-27 11:41:07 +0000 UTCCorbin being GM is not what made ratings go down. The poor booking is what made the ratings go down. They just literally used him as a scapegoat on television despite him just playing the role that was written for him. There was a lot worse booking happening at that same time.

2024-11-26 19:13:41 +0000 UTCThe Shield and the "Reality Era" (Pipe bomb or Daniel Bryan winning the title - 2016 re-introduction of brand split) felt quite special, because WWE had struggled to create new stars during the PG era (2008-early 2010s). They were the only people that Vince planned to push to get truly over ever since the early Ruthless Aggression stars like Cena, Orton, and Batista. Punk and Bryan got over in the PG era, but that was basically the fans brute forcing it, hence the reality era branding.

2024-11-26 18:25:11 +0000 UTCMy opinion is that Moxley won’t be back until they induct The Shield into the Hall of Fame but I hope I’m wrong. My favorite faction by far, and I probably wouldn’t have stayed invested in the product after Punk left if it wasn’t for these three.

2024-11-26 18:17:36 +0000 UTCFun fact: WWE making Corbin as GM made the Ratings go down so bad it actually reached the lowest ratings in history 🤣

2024-11-26 17:36:56 +0000 UTCAlso the shield has had many reunions after Seth turned on them in 2014, they had moments like during the survivor series 2016 match you guys watched before they got back together in 2017, then Dean got injured. Then they reunited again in 2018 until Dean turned on Seth on the day roman announced his leukemia and feuded for months, then finally, when it was clear Dean wasn't gonna resign WWE decided to reunite the shield one final time

2024-11-26 17:18:39 +0000 UTCCorbin wore that outfit when he was known as "Constable Corbin" turned into GM Corbin and just never changed the outfit until he won KIng Of The Ring which was a few months after it
