Oh yes. Forgot about that.

The old foreign object in the tights trick was used a lot back in the old days of wrestling. It wasn’t really something necessarily that got paid off where you would find out what it is, it was usually just the implication of a wrestler using some sort of blunt object to hurt their opponent as a mechanism to get heat. Usually if something like that were to get paid off, the announcer would already know what it is, and he would point it out to the audience, like in the case of a wrestler using a chain for example, and the announcer would say, he has got a chain, but the referee didn’t see it and now it’s back in his tights, but in a situation where the announcer would say, I can’t tell what he has got there, but he has definitely got something, Then most times we would not actually find out what was being used.

Actually, at best this is the second oldest. Remember? They saw the Ric Flair VS Kerry Von Erich match from Christmas night 1982.

People defiantly tried to "help" their favorite wrestlers back in the day. It's why almost every heel manager in the 70's and 80's had a gimmick that required them to carry a weapon. From Jim Cornette's tennis racket to Paul Heyman's giant cell phone they were really there for protection from fans trying to attack them more than anything else.

This is now the oldest match that’s ever been submitted.

Glad that yall like that for December I’ll send in a documentary about Memphis. Theres a really informative one called Memphis Heat but it’s over a hour long I believe and it’s too long for here. The Undertaker said before a big match one time he wanted to get really hyped up he turned on Memphis Heat. They get into stuff in the 60s with Sputnik Monroe who helped break the color barrier in Memphis. Black people would have to sit up in the crows nest and he insisted “I will not wrestle until all of my fans can sit together where they want” I’m not sure what the item Savage had in his tights maybe a small piece of wood or something idk. There are a lot of entertaining stories from wrestlers of back in the day fans attacking them during/after matches. A lot of stories in parking lots where fans think ok now I gotta chance to really do something I got em away from the building. Cornette when he was on the WWF creative team came up with the HIAC design by combining two things: the memphis cage design and the wargames cage roof. The room to move around outside of the memphis cage combined with how the wargames cage has a top on it. The guy who ran in at the end Joe LeDuc there’s a crazy story about him in the documentary.
