2024-11-15 13:59:36 +0000 UTCThis match should have been a Last Man Standing Match but it took place the night before Money in the Bank where AJ and Nakamura ended their mediocre rivalry with the same stipulation. Considering it was MITB, that should have been a Ladder Match to free the stip up for this match. Especially since they’d end up doing a LMS match at Takeover Brooklyn 4 a few months later. Ah yes, another reason this is my favourite match of theirs, no Mauro Ranallo on commentary screaming “MAMA MIA!” And making stupid obscure pop culture references every two minutes. Tally, you mentioned the head in the chair thing. Watch it again and you’ll see Gargano is holding the chair so in actuality, he has all the control over it and not Ciampa.

2024-11-15 02:48:07 +0000 UTCI’ll eventually submit that one, but it’s not going to be soon. This story has so much layers and it lasted for so long that I can’t miss any single step of it. I know that One Final Beat was disappointing for many people, but in the end it was the chosen finish to that story and we can’t change it 😁 We’ve put our guys to watch almost every DIY match in the summer, and their single matches between this trilogy so no matter what will be their final opinion on it, they deserve to know how it all ended. There is still so much good stuff to watch in between (Ciampa vs Black, Gargano vs Black, Gargano vs Ricochet, Undisputed Era vs Team Ciampa and Adam Cole vs Tomasso Ciampa) 😄

My next submission will be Tomasso Ciampa vs Aleister Black for the NXT Championship, since it’s the next match chronologically in the Black & Gold era.
