2024-11-15 17:57:06 +0000 UTC*I accidentally deleted my comment instead of editing it 🤪* NJPW’s difficulties in keeping top Western talent long-term has brought freshness to the Bullet Club, with each new leader giving the group a unique feel, almost feeling like different factions. Some people see Bullet Club as stale and overdone, particularly those who used to watch NJPW only during the Elite era, so they might not get the revolving door concept. But in actuality, the current Bullet Club actually have a fresh identity, echoing the original Bullet Club style with Finn Balor. Where they're basically disrespectul foreigners who are a public nuisance, which is a super hot topic in Japan right now with all the foreign youtubers coming to Japan and being inconsiderate and rude (like Logan Paul 😬). They even did a video promo in the form of a vlog where they were going around Japan acting obnoxious. Bullet Club War Dogs consists of exclusively new members and branding etc.

2024-11-14 12:48:51 +0000 UTCThe Bullet Club in 2024 has split into separate groups to combat Bullet Club fatigue, and due to COVID, which separated Japanese and Western talent. Now, NJPW has “House of Torture” (mostly Japanese wrestlers) and “War Dogs” (mostly Western wrestlers). They don’t get along and almost always go by their new names instead of "Bullet Club."

2024-11-14 12:28:12 +0000 UTCI've been meaning to watch this video myself. I don't know much about Bullet Club, especially more modern Bullet Club, other than that they have really cool merch that was everywhere for a while. Excited to watch this one. Edit: to answer some of your questions at the end of the video regarding factions and Bullet Club in general. New Japan, especially at the time, was very much built on very large factions. They would all have various subgroups within them, some of which were established in other companies when members would go over there to establish them. Bullet Club currently has members in NJPW, TNA, AEW, and a few other promotions. They occasionally cross over but it can be pretty rare. WWE also has (had?) a version of BC called The Club led by AJ Styles with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. I believe Michin/Mia Yim is also currently a part of that faction. The Elite from both the name AEW and the group in AEW both are the same subgroup from the Bullet Club. That is Kenny, The Young Bucks, Hangman, and Cody. They were the people who originally teamed up with Tony Khan to create AEW and the promotion was basically built around them, hence them taking the name as part of the company and all being (at least at one point) Executive Vice Presidents of the company behind the scenes.

2024-11-14 07:12:57 +0000 UTCIt's much like how real life gangs and some mafias can get so big that they start to form cliques and subgroups that may or may not digress from the original idea of the gang.

2024-11-14 00:37:06 +0000 UTCI recommend a video that will answer some of your questions called Change The World The Elite Story So Far by a YouTube channel called Age of Wrestling. It gives some much needed background info on the Elite and how AEW came to be.

2024-11-14 00:29:30 +0000 UTCOf all time you are correct and I would argue that the NWO where even more influential than Bullet Club. But I was specifically talking about the past decade

2024-11-13 23:59:42 +0000 UTCNWO is pretty close. Without them, WCW wouldn't have been nearly as popular as the WWF were, meaning there would have been no competition and no need to usher in the Attitude Era or take risks on guys like Stone Cold. There'd also probably not have been a path to the WWE for Jericho, Guerrero, Benoit, Booker T, etc. Not to mention what it did for guys in WCW like Goldberg and Sting.

2024-11-13 23:55:39 +0000 UTCTechnically, *Technically*, there ARE branches of Bullet Club in New Japan, TNA, AEW and WWE. NJPW has the War Dogs, the main Bullet Club unit led by David Finlay, and the House of Torture led by EVIL, as well as a few standalone members like KENTA. TNA has Ace Austin and Chris Bey. AEW has Bullet Club Gold led by Jay White with Juice Robinson and the Gunns. WWE has the OC, with AJ, Gallows, Anderson, and Mia Yim (for some reason). Obviously with WWE not being willing to play nice with the likes of AEW and New Japan, the OC aren't really considered Bullet Club proper and are more of a wink and a nod to the fact that three of them used to be in the group. Also, the members of the War Dogs claim that David Finlay is the leader of the entire club, meaning the sub groups all answer to him, but none of the other sub groups agree with that, so it's debatable as to whether or not it could even be considered one big faction, or just a bunch of smaller groups that have no actual affiliation with each other.

2024-11-13 23:08:26 +0000 UTCbullet club is VERY spread out right now, but i'd say you have 4 sets going rn, but 1 main offical one. New Japan has the Bullet Club War Dogs, which is ABSOLUTLY the main faction. AEW has bullet club gold but they recently dropped that name and now just go by the Bang Bang Gang. you have ABC in TNA but I don't think they make alot of reference to Bullet club anymore but I could be wrong. and you have the OC in WWE but i'd say that they are even further away in terms of being linked than ABC. at the end of the day there are people ALL OVER the industry that have run with bullet club and some of those people just happen to run with other members still but tbh the only REAL bullet club left is the War Dogs in japan.

2024-11-13 22:56:16 +0000 UTCIt's crazy how much the forming of bullet club has butterflied so much throughout wrestling. You can see the seeds of Bullet Club in almost every company now days . If Cody never meets the Young Bucks and Kenny there is no AEW.. If AEW never forms maybe ROH would've stayed more popular so they wouldn't have needed to be sold to Tony Khan. If AJ didn't have such a good run as part of Bullet Club he probably never joins WWE and either re-signs with NJPW or goes back to TNA. That's just what I can think of off the top of my head there are many more examples. Bullet club are the most influential stable of the past decade and wrestling as whole doesn't look the same without them. The only stable that can even come close to saying the same is the shield

2024-11-13 22:30:47 +0000 UTCIt's crazy looking back to when Devitt started Bullet Club, with no idea on just how influential and game changing the faction would go onto become. Like, legitimately industry-changing. 😲
