Help with a YT video! (Truth or Lie)
Added 2024-11-02 03:58:58 +0000 UTCMAXX & TALLY TIERS!
Back in June we started a new series called "Wrestling Truth or Lie Challenge" and we're bringing it back for Round 2!
It could be about wrestlers, promotions, matches, or anything about pro wrestling.
Directions:
1. One submission per person. Comment something wild or hard to believe that either DID or DID NOT happen in the history of pro wrestling.
2. If you choose to send a LIE, please do not make the lie "Well it happened... but ACTUALLY it happened on Smackdown.. not Raw.." Make your lies things that completely did not happen, rather than changing tiny details about a truth.
3. Put the ANSWER to your submission in a REPLY comment to your own comment. Feel free to give as much context or explanation in the reply as you see fit.
4. Tally will be the one guessing the answers, and she can not see this post. So no worries there!
5. Can't guarantee everyone's will make it in the final cut of the video, but if yours is selected, your username will be shown in the video!

2024-11-04 08:27:55 +0000 UTCTRUE. Big Boss Man targeted Al Snow, eventually kidnapping Snow's beloved Chihuahua, named Pepper. In a shocking twist, Boss Man invited Al Snow to dinner under the guise of returning the dog and resolving their issues. During the dinner, Boss Man revealed that he had actually cooked and served Pepper as a meal to Snow without his knowledge. This storyline is remembered as one of WWE's most outrageous and grim plotlines.

2024-11-04 08:24:49 +0000 UTCFor a feud, one wrestler kidnapped another wrestlers pet chihuahua and invited said wrestler to a dinner, to which they obliged. During the dinner it was revealed that the meal he was eating contained the meat from his pet chihuahua.

2024-11-04 08:23:31 +0000 UTCThis is a lie, but sounds like something that could’ve happened during the Super Cena era. Cena did beat Mysterio for the WWE Championship after he was supposed to be “fired” from the company. But, he never broke his neck.
Kam
2024-11-04 04:12:37 +0000 UTCJohn Cena once broke his neck in kayfabe, but returned later the same night to defeat Rey Mysterio for the WWE Championship on RAW.

2024-11-04 04:10:49 +0000 UTCYes, this is true. Val Venis had a gimmick as a porn star, he was feuding with a faction of Japanese wrestlers named Kai En Tai. Kai En Tai had a manger named Yamaguchi-San and when a video got leaked of Val sleeping with his wife, Yamaguchi-San told Val 'I choppy choppy your pee pee' and had Kai En Tai attack and kidnap Val. He then used the Katana to castrate Val.

Triple H (still going by Hunter Hearst Helmsley) defended the Intercontinental Title against The Undertaker on Shotgun Saturday Night recorded at Penn Station in February 1997. Shotgun Saturday Night was a late-night WWE show filmed in unusual locations in New York City. Triple H won by disqualification when Undertaker hit him with the Intercontinental Title. The match is most remembered for their post-match brawl that ended when Undertaker hit a Tombstone on Triple H at the top of an escalator. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIExQeGA5uU

2024-11-02 17:06:03 +0000 UTCAnswer: TRUE Asuka ended up her run in NXT as the undefeated force and has 10 wins at Takeovers The rest of them: Charlotte - 4 wins Rhea Ripley - 2 wins Sasha Banks - 2 wins Becky Lynch - 0 wins Bianca Belair - 0 wins Nia Jax - 0 wins
TheBlueOne
2024-11-02 12:17:55 +0000 UTCWhen it comes to NXT Takeovers (NXT’s only PLEs since 2014-2021), Asuka has more wins than Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Nia Jax and Sasha Banks COMBINED. 2024-11-02 09:45:39 +0000 UTCFalse! The honor belongs to Ron Simmons, who won the world title in WCW in 1992. Rock would be the second, in 1998.
Wade Kruse

2024-11-02 08:50:48 +0000 UTCFalse, but it's not far off. If we count Roman's recent world and universal reigns as two overlapping reigns, he has held world championships for 2234 days in total, which is over 6 years. The Rock only wrestled in the WWE/F full time from '96 to '04.

2024-11-02 07:08:14 +0000 UTCIn 2019 there was a storyline involving Mike & Maria Kanellis where Maria was irl pregnant, and Mike was revealed to not be the father, the real father was Rusev (Miro in AEW), this lead to Lana (Rusev’s irl wife) having an onscreen affair with Bobby Lashley, this culminated in a wedding between Lashley and Lana that ended with Liv Morgan coming out and revealing herself as Lana’s secret Lesbian lover.

2024-11-02 07:07:01 +0000 UTCAnd the answer is false. While Haku has close ties to the Anoa'i family (The Rock even calls him Uncle Tonga and his sons are part of the bloodline feud) those came all to be after Haku broke into the bussiness. He played Rugby when he was young, but so did most boys in Tonga. He was actually trained in the All Japan Dojo, where he ended up after dropping out of professional sumo because of a fight with the japanese sumo elders (which used to be a rather common way to end up in wrestling in Japan and explains the crazy training culture they have in wrestling schools over there).
ElSche
2024-11-02 06:48:52 +0000 UTCFamous wrestler of Tongan descent Haku (and father of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) was recruited by famous wrestler, promoter and The Rocks grandfather Peter Mavia, after seeing him playing rugby in Samoa, realizing Haku may not be fast enough for making it big in that sport, but he might be phisically strong and intimating enough for wrestling.

2024-11-02 05:56:31 +0000 UTCThis is true. Jimmy Carters mom was a huge fan of Mr. Wrestling II from watching Georgia Championship wrestling. Mr. Wrestling II came about from the original Mr. Wrestling Tim Woods who y’all learned about from saving wrestling in the Carolinas in the plane crash. Wrestling IIs original wrestling name was Johnny Walker but Jerry Jarrett who was booking Atlanta put the mask on him and made Mr Wrestling/Wrestling II a tag team. This is prime example of a wrestler protecting his gimmick back in the day. Here’s the article talking about it and the picture of Mr. Wrestling II and Jimmy Carter it’s #5 on the list https://prowrestlingstories.com/pro-wrestling-stories/extreme-cases-wrestlers-protecting-their-gimmicks/
