I don't know if you caught it but this took place on the Friday before WrestleMania, so this takeover was stacked because it was NXTs WrestleMania, and at the time the roster was really firing on all cylinders so all 5 matches were pretty incredible

2024-10-30 02:25:12 +0000 UTCGoing to an NXT show should be pretty doable for you guys, they often host PLEs in the same city as big events like Mania, Rumble, Sumerslam. So, if the schedule shakes out the same as in the past, expect a NXT show in Indy the same weekend as Royal Rumble 2025.

I remember he really put a spotlight on Malakai and Ricochet super hard at first, but Vince was still overseeing things and pushes back on all of Heyman's ideas. I remember that Heyman said Malakai's biggest problem was that he was 5 years ahead of the business.

2024-10-30 00:08:19 +0000 UTCMy favorite version of Ricochet was when he was Prince Puma, who was the silent protagonist in Lucha Underground. Didn't realize he was a bad promo until he came to WWE. LU was a wrestling show recorded and presented like an supernatural action drama, rather than a regular wrestling show. Most wrestlers portrayed new characters unique to the show, and had superpowers etc. One of the most unique and underrated wrestling shows ever.

2024-10-29 23:35:07 +0000 UTCThat “You deserve it” chant was directed towards a light being turned off because it was blinding a section of the crowd I think. Most of the time when a crowd chants that at an ill fitting point in a match, it’s directed at a member of the crowd. Mainly because they’re being kicked out for doing something awful. It happens more often than you think and many wrestling fans will unite against someone (or in this case, a light that’s stopping people from seeing the match) trying to ruin their good time. The “nah nah nah nah hey hey hey goodbye” chant is also used when that happens, as well as “yes yes yes” and if it’s not a WWE show, you’ll get the crowd chanting “f*ck that guy f*ck that guy”. But NXT at this time was so special to many people that the crowds were just as special in return. The chants they would come up with and their energy. These NXT crowds are where WWE started getting fan sing alongs to theme music.

2024-10-29 23:31:20 +0000 UTCOkay some context on the names before I start this match watch along When they went to the main roster their name was changed They went from War Raiders to "the Viking Experience"(it's Vince don't question it dreadful experience for all) they eventually settled on Viking Raiders before they recently changed it back for as simple of a reason as they were both in need of repackaging

That got MASSIVE backlash from fans everywhere for being one of the worst team names in recent history and they changed it the next week to The Viking Raiders and during the match the commentators tried to play it off like their finishing move was called the Viking Experience and everyone collectively misunderstood. Nobody was buying that.
