Kenta and Marafuji are in some senses very much the AJ Styles (in TNA) Daniel Bryan and CM Punk's of Japan. In the sense that they were so good that they broke through the rigid weight class system of Japan. I have a very soft spot for 2000s NOAH, as this is the kinda stuff I'd watch on youtube as a kid.

It's a very different game and it's 2.5D. It's Japanese and features Japanese wrestlers and others in DLC's. You can have 1000 downloaded wrestlers and import your own music. Also, there's soo many match types. You can even do MMA. The basics of how the game works takes some getting used to, but it's absolutely worth it. Especially if you like playing together. π Maybe I'm writing all this after you've already played it though. π

2024-10-20 06:31:06 +0000 UTCEnough comments mentioning about KENTA(s), so here's a fun fact about Marufuji: A young wrestler from Iowa was inspired by Maru's explosive in-ring style & even "stole" load of his movesets, including the Shiranui/Sliced Bread #2 that Maru himself innovated, & the curb stomp, the latter later attached to that Iowa kid's successful career. The name of the wrestler is Tyler Black, and in case you've already guessed who he is now, yep, that's Seth Rollins Pro Wrestling NOAH is still active to this day, not too long ago they started a good relastionship with WWE, which sees the latter sent a couple of NXT stars over there for excursion, and even some pretty huge names to compete at NOAH's big shows. Another fun fact: They did send AJ Styles to face Marufuji this past July, it was a great match, i wonder if someone's gonna recommend you that match cuz you need to see it

2024-10-19 23:01:29 +0000 UTCKenta Kobashi and Kenta Kobayashi are two different people. This one is Kobayashi, but just goes by KENTA to avoid confusion. They aren't related, but Kobashi did train Kobayashi and they're both two of the biggest names associated with Pro Wrestling Noah.
