Riot in the Stars Version 2 Prototype

Hey Patrons!

Well, coming in at about 40 pages, here's my revised stab at Riot in the Stars, a sandbox style single player tabletop RPG where you can explore a science fiction universe. Most of the core mechanics are in, and there's basically one character and a few places to explore but it's enough to start playing the game and making changes.

I haven't made a character sheet yet, since that will likely change a lot until I can get closer to a 1.0 version. Until then, If you want to play I suggest doing what I'll do, which is use the Blades in the Dark character sheets on Roll20. They have all the functionality that you'll need, and they are super customizable so it should be hard to convert one for use with Riot in the Stars.

I'm really quite happy with what I've put together so far, and I can't wait to expand the world and play around with the mechanics of the game. This whole project is sort of a love letter to Blades in the Dark, Ironsworn, and Disco Elysium, some of my favourite games from the last few years.

This project is going to take a while to complete. $10+ backers will definitely be getting a free copy of 1.0 when it releases.

In other news I've started another campaign of Neon Black where I can test out some playbooks that haven't gotten as much love as the others. I think I'm still on track to having that game text complete by the end of this year. I'm coming up on almost 70 playtests so far!
