2024-09-18 00:36:27 +0000 UTCProblem is that if he needed eye surgery, and probably did that is several months if it works. I know because I had surgery for a detached retina 2 months ago and I still don't have full vision back in my eye. No way they would still have team momentum after a several month delay.

2024-09-17 22:38:30 +0000 UTCIt’s wild that y’alls first intro to Regal wrestling is in a 4-way ladder match 😂 That injury from the ladder was one of the first really messed up in-ring injuries I saw. That injury sets a tone for the rest of the match and you take the bumps way more seriously. They were also taking a lot of insane dives off the ladders Brian Kendrick got thrown around and from every height like a sack of potatoes😂 Theodore Long started as a referee in the NWA in different territories he’s been in the business for forever.

2024-09-17 22:00:54 +0000 UTCFun fact: Back when Seth was holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, around the time he cashed in at Wrestlemania, he had 2 guys as his security. They were called J&J Security. It was Jamie Nobel (a wrestler you haven’t encountered yet because he was a lower card guy in the early to mid 2000s who’s now in a producer roll backstage) and Joey Mercury the guy who got his face destroyed here. After facial reconstruction surgery and a lot of rest, he continued to wrestle for about a year more in WWE before he was released. Then he came back as a trainer and producer in the early 2010s till now. The Shield were very close to him and considered him the 4th member of their stable.

2024-09-17 21:50:28 +0000 UTCThis is mostly known as the match where Joey Mercury's face exploded but is incredible in its own right. Also a reminder how dangerous a ladder match is, and how many risks these performers take for our entertainment. In the raw after this, they had Joey Mercury come out and cut a heel promo on the hardy's iirc. Such a shame because I think they could've used this match as a springboard to a good face run. There was a ground swell of real support for M and M. Whatever: it is what it is.
