2024-09-15 04:42:26 +0000 UTCJBLs theme is great lol. He started using the AA when he was fueding with Brock and called it the FU to mock the F5 and his STF used to be called the STFU. This of course could not stand in the PG era hence the renames. ... The proverbial crimson mask. To deep a blade job probably mixed with taking aspirin before hand to thin the blood so you bleed more from a smaller cut don't think he meant to bleed quite that bad.

2024-09-15 02:44:33 +0000 UTCAs for the blood. The early to mid 2000s was the bloodiest and most violent period of WWE. Many of the best WWE hardcore matches happened during this period. That's a big reason why the shift to PG around 2007 was such a big deal to people. Because it was a HUGE change in programming.

2024-09-14 19:21:48 +0000 UTCI think JBL is probably one of the more underrated main event heels. Many older fans didnt take him seriously because he was an undercarder in the attitude era. And there were also a bunch of reports about him bullying people. But as a kid, I HATED this guy. He was probably the main reason why I thought wrestling was real/kinda real for as long as I did. He's a great heel to put up against a young babyface, because you know he's not going to take the shine away from them and nobody is going to boo them because they like JBL.

2024-09-14 18:36:02 +0000 UTCI see people say the I Quit Match was the best they had

2024-09-14 17:39:50 +0000 UTCOh good lord lol. These two feuded in 05 and 08 and this is the best match they had. They had a fun parking lot brawl but the rest of their matches were pretty average. Mostly down to JBL being an average wrestler.

2024-09-14 15:50:35 +0000 UTCYou actually do know a bit more about JBL. John Bradshaw Layfield (Formerly known as Bradshaw) was the guy Vince Russo hated leading into the idea of the Brawl for All

2024-09-14 14:07:26 +0000 UTCIt be interesting what u both think to Orton vs cena matches I prob say there best match was a falls count anywhere iron-man match they had really good hiac match aswell only problem there matches the feud they faced to much in a small space of time and then that got most people not want to see it again

2024-09-14 11:35:56 +0000 UTCI watched this match on DVD countless times growing up. The canisters and the mic damage always freaked me out. And my god I'll never forget seeing that blade job for the first time. Honestly crazy in hindsight that this didn't get Cena more over. You'd think when guys like HHH, Edge, Orton, and now Swerve got over from winning bloody wars, why didn't Cena get the same treatment here? Probably has something to do with how he was booked on Raw after this. :/ And the clear and obvious fact that JBL in 2005 is not comparable to Mick Foley or Adam Page in any year. I never called Cena one of my favorites growing up, but I loved his first DVD. It had this match, his One Night Stand match with RVD, and a TLC match with Edge. I even loved the bonus features that had a shit ton of episodes of John's WWE.com show "5 Questions With the Champ," which was basically him riffing by himself for five minutes as he answered goofy questions from fans. If you're curious, I highly suggest looking it up. Some of the funniest shit I can remember watching as a kid, though I can't imagine all of it has aged well. lol Edit: Apparently the show seems to have disappeared from the internet completely so it might take longer to find than I thought.

2024-09-14 08:55:17 +0000 UTCAlright I won't take this JBL entrance theme disrespect that's one of the greatest themes of all time
Charlie
2024-09-14 08:50:25 +0000 UTCJBL’s entrance you saw that wasn’t a special entrance, he used that almost every week. And his theme song it fits him cause he’s The WRESTLING GOD!!!

2024-09-14 05:57:42 +0000 UTCThis is when we first got the spinner belt. After Cena won the WWE title at Wrestlemania 21, he had the design changed. He did it for the US Title too. Hey, I'm gonna have to stop you right there Playa. JBL theme is great. It does sound like something you would hear on a paid programming TV show when you wake up In the middle of the night after falling asleep. This is probably the closest to thuganomics Cena that you been recommended. He was still thuganomics here, but this was right before his marine "gimmick" if you wanna call it that. Basically he didn't really change his character much after this. Only thing he really changed was his merch and gear (sometimes). No it wasn't title for title. Cena was the champion. JBL self declared himself as champion even though he lost at Wrestlemania, so he was carrying around the previous version of the belt, while Cena had the current title (spinner)

2024-09-14 03:43:58 +0000 UTCIf you don’t understand the context of a match, i.e what’s on the line, listen to the commentary. The job of the commentators is to tell the story of the match and what led up to it. They said that Cena won the non spinner title and then introduced his version which is the spinner and JBL thought it was disrespectful and carried around the original title in defiance of what Cena introduced.

2024-09-14 02:55:47 +0000 UTCAnyways John Cena is phenomenal man Like genuinely fucking awesome He's just so damn viscerally in matches like these Pure unrivaled will to survive

2024-09-14 02:18:17 +0000 UTCaround this time wrestlers actually had to wear suits when they weren't performing. Cena and Undertaker were exceptions bc putting cena in a suit just doesn't fit his character at all and he was extremely over at this time, and Undertakers kayfabe was literally unbreakable
