2024-09-15 00:11:26 +0000 UTCI think the background info is pretty important for this match. The main event for Summerslam looked like it was probably going to be Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns. But Randy’s back desperately needed surgery so Vince went back to old reliable, Lesnar vs Reigns. The thing is, those two have wrestled way too many singles matches, and most of them are bad. But during the build up to this match, they announced that it would be the last match with these two. And then Vince retired and Triple H took over creative, with this being his first PPV (yes, I still call them that and no, I’ll never stop), which had people very excited.

2024-09-14 02:02:07 +0000 UTCTo answer Tally's question on if Brock and Lashley had a match the answer is yes they actually had a trilogy of matches around late 2022 to early 2023, it was all full of screwy finishes which imo wasn't worth the pay off in the long run. Also, sadly, their last match had the winner of it to be slated to face Bray Wyatt at Mania, which obviously never happened due to Bray's health situation
