2024-09-22 10:41:27 +0000 UTCThe show where three big title matches occurred with three hugely over faces and fans thought only one or at most two would win, but all three did. I’ve been a fan of Kofi since he had debuted in 2007, so seeing him win was something truly special. I felt this was a bigger moment than Bryan at Mania XXX. One big difference between the two is that this was Kori’s first, and probably only World Title win whereas Bryan had already been World Heavyweight and WWE Champion come XXX. Most years they do something pretty good for Mania but yeah 35 sucked. X8 is one of the other worst stages ever because it look half finished. I’ve actually got one of those “There’s a new champ yes there is!” Shirts.

2024-09-11 23:10:48 +0000 UTCAnother example of Bryan being the greatest of all time This was completely organic and the buildup to the match was atrocious(talking to you Vince you dumbass) And Bryan knew the importance of the moment and if he couldn't make the storyline work as well as his did 5 years previously He could make the match just as good if not better Best Kofi match by a landslide because he's genuinely phenomenal here And Bryan is also putting in a fantastic performance(that I wish I could say was top 15 but man he just had so many) Both parties did their part and made this great And it's a moment I'm genuinely happy Kofi got to have No matter what came before(I hate you Vince) And no matter what came after(I hate you Vince)

2024-09-11 18:20:34 +0000 UTCAs a kid in the 2000s, you kinda got the vibe that Kofi would eventually get elevated into a main event wrestler. But his push was killed after he got heat with Randy Orton, which was meant to be Kofi's star making push. He was almost fired, but then the whole new day thing caught on, and he ended up having a great career. And I'm glad he even got to win the WWE title, even if he truly never became a singles main event star, since he went back to the midcard after this.

2024-09-11 17:25:23 +0000 UTCThe moment when the Usos forfeited during the tag team gauntlet match against Big E and Xavier out of respect for their long time rivals was SUCH a cool moment that I wish they played up more here. Kofi was also the first black WWE Champion since The Rock too, so for it to be Kofi riding a massive wave of momentum against Bryan, who is so selfless in putting guys over, made for such a cool moment. Glad you guys enjoyed!

2024-09-11 15:37:01 +0000 UTCThey didn’t show it, but when Xavier and E had the gauntlet match to win Kofi a shot at the title, they were beaten down by a few teams and out came the Usos to be their next opponent. Instead of wrestling them, the Usos forfeited the match out of respect to Kofi and their long rivalry with the New Day which saw a gigantic pop from the crowd.
