Jennifer Lindgren

That's cool!

Tallywags

Do more watchalongs with tally that be fun to see

Ryan Evans

Can u get tally to react to the whistle man in ecw lol

Ryan Evans

Arn Anderson, who you saw give Cody advice at Summer Slam, was front and center at the celebration after the match!

Big Ell

Tally - “Why am I finding myself rooting for Goldust right now?” Haha because you tend to always root for the good against the evil, and at its core, that’s what pro wrestling is!

Big Ell

That's the plan!

Dport

You should have Tally react to these matches with you more often. She brings something special to the video as you both are watching it together.

Chad

Could've drawn it out another month or so to Survivor Series.

Chad

The bionic elbow was one of Dusty's moves. Cody does. It in tribute

I think you saw a little bit of Dusty in the match I suggested but you really had to see this one this is a super special moment. I wish it was on a higher profile PPV but hey at least they got it in. Goldust was originally inspired by this amazing UK wrestler Adrian Street who I have to introduce you too one month through this 20 minute documentary on Peacock on Adrian Street. The guy with the glasses and the white shirt at the end is Arn Anderson another legendary wrestler part of the original 4 Horsemen. He was the guy on Cody’s walkout on the last PPV he was there to give him that pep talk about “There’s some pissed off island boys out there but you’ve got some friends backing you up” or to something of that effect.

If it’s emotional moments like matches or promos, then seeing as how you’re both massive Roman fans, his leukemia (as well as remission) promo is where you should start and then probably his Hell in a cell match with Jay Uso. But there’s SO many emotional moments in wrestling that whatever poll you make, won’t be big enough. Wrestling is unlike any form of entertainment out there when it comes to physical storytelling of the heartwarming or heartbreaking kind.

Goldust was definitely known for his in ring ability. Not as much as Goldust, but as Dustin Rhodes for sure. At the beginning of his career he was nicknamed "The Natural" due to how advanced he was for his age in the ring. He wrestled in WCW before he was even 20 years old. For most of the early part of his career the in-ring stuff was his calling card. When he jumped to WWF in 1996 he got the Goldust character and he shifted to being more of a character wrestler. When the time called for it he could still go in the ring though. That's kinda true even to this day with him being 50 odd years old. Cody's match against Dustin at Double or Nothing 2019 is one of Cody's most well regarded.

Goldust in the 90s and early 2000s was wild, very much a character way before its time. Androgynous and bizarre, he would use his weirdness as a type of phycological warfare. By the 2010s the PG era kind of stopped most of that leaving the occasional weird sharp intake of breath.

Keep waiting.

Last year was 2017. Hell in a Cell didn’t look right with a pink middle rope. There’s videos from WWE promoting the collaboration from 2018 but they didn’t do the pink ropes at Super Show Down in Melbourne or Evolution.

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

I noticed that as well!

Dport

Wow Dusty said “I’ll be your huckleberry”. I’m pretty sure CM Punk has said this recently.

Big Ell

Lol I noticed but it's good to see where it all started

Tallywags

Oh I noticed 😆 I was like can I get a Roman win??

Tallywags

I haven't seen much of Dusty in or around the ring so it was cool to see.

Tallywags

Yeah, they used to have the pink rope and Brest Cancer logo on the entrance ramp in the month of October since it was Breast Cancer Awareness month. They started doing it in 2012. Don't remember when they stopped doing it.

Christopher Barnes

If I remember correctly this was the first time I got emotional watching wrestling. At this time I wanted a new guys at the top of the card, we were kind of getting that with Daniel Bryan but it felt like WWE was doing their best to stop it. And this was before Stardust, it was round about the time Dusty passed that Cody changed character.

Abs Ali

To be fair, the weekly themes don't effect the tally tier matches lol

Dport

I like how on Roman week the main focus on the three matches have been Seth’s cash in, Seth’s return from injury and Dean’s Cash in, and the Rhodes getting their jobs back. 😂

Dak4life

It must be hard to believe that Roman won all the time based on the matches y’all have been watching lol. Sick match, would also recommend Cody vs Dustin Rhodes from AEW Double or Nothing 2019.

RF

I’ve actually never seen this match before because I didn’t order Battleground in 2013 nor have I ever gone back to watch it. Dusty giving Stephanie the “Talk to the hand” during the promo was seen as a big no no because nobody ever got one over on Stephanie. She would always belittle, berate and slap the wrestlers and almost never got her comeuppance. For several years WWE partnered with Susan G Komen during October which is what the pink middle rope is. The kick to the guts Cody gave Seth while his arms were on the ropes and the slam he did right after are both moves Hardcore Holly used. Cody and Holly were Tag Champions together in 2007. Also the move Cody hit when he grabbed Seth off the top is called the Muscle Buster, most notably used by Samoa Joe.
