Also, you either missed it or just didn’t think it was important, but JR says the Elimination Chamber was created to top SmackDowns Hell in a Cell Match from the previous month. That was No Mercy 2002, where Brock Lesnar defended the WWE Title against The Undertaker. The door popped open when Triple H was rammed into it and it would also happen several years later to Undertaker who actually fell out of the Chamber and onto the floor. But he wasn’t seriously injured and kept going. Kane always landed on his knees when taking the Pedigree.

2024-08-09 05:01:40 +0000 UTCI always use the WHC in Universe Mode too. That for SmackDown, Undisputed Title from 02-05 for Raw or vice versa.

2024-08-09 04:49:12 +0000 UTCIt was the third to last title he’d win too, only being Tag Champion in 2007 and 2009 and both pretty short reigns.

2024-08-09 04:47:22 +0000 UTCWithout a comma it looks like you’re saying a person named Nash Pritchard exists.

2024-08-09 04:46:22 +0000 UTCAhh gotta love Shawns little dutch boy haircut as Nash Pritchard and Triple H called it. That steel apparently hurts like hell before they put mats down. Sounds brutal when they land but I bet we don't appreciate just how much it hurts. Triple H got obliterated by Rob Van Dams knee there bruised trachea brutal.

2024-08-09 01:50:30 +0000 UTCThe biggest story in this match outside of the elimination chamber match was HHH vs. HBK. That’s why Triple H pulled Jericho off Michaels, he wanted to be the one to pin or submit Michaels as a way to one up Michaels. Somewhat Fun Fact: This was the last singles title HBK ever won

2024-08-08 22:31:10 +0000 UTCFor the timer being off for Kane's entrance, I'm guessing the "official" timer didn't start the 5 minutes for the next pod until the previous one was open and you ran yours continuously.

2024-08-08 21:15:24 +0000 UTCGlad you finally got around to this. 🤗 Saw it on the poll a couple of times. I see all the comments pretty much answered most of the questions, but I'll add a few more details if they're not there. I also don't feel like deleting all of this since I took the time to type most of it. Typically when they were in Madison Square Garden. They had the short entrance. They don't do it like that anymore. About that frog splash off the chamber pod: so it didn't look that good because Rob Van Dam didn't have much room up there to move around so that's why it looked like that. Also, that reaction you saw from Triple H was real. His knee actually landed on Triple His throat. He was off TV for a few weeks. They actually talked about this match on the Ruthless Aggression documentary on Peacock. Season 2, Episode 2. The episode is called Innovations. When Kane came out, I think you might have set the timer too early. Here's some info about "The World" (Formerly known as WWF New York). The World (originally opened as WWF New York) was a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) themed restaurant, nightclub and retail store in Times Square in New York City, leased in the Paramount Theatre building. The venue was best known for featuring in segments on Monday Night Raw, and having Sunday Night Heat emanate from its complex, hosted by Michael Cole and Tazz from October 2000 to February 2002. The venue would also host special events such as Raw's 10th Anniversary and various autograph signings and appearances from WWE performers. Founded November 1999 & closed April 2003. This is the only time Shawn Michaels held a World title during his second run when he came back in 2002. Shaw Michaels WWE career is pretty much divided. His first run in the late 80s and most of the 90s, and his second rind from 2002 until 2010 at Wrestlemania 26. I wasn't old enough to experience his first run, but was there to see his second run. To answer your question at the end about "how do you guys like titles like that" I like it. The World Heavyweight Championship in my opinion is one of the best looking titles. I always used it in my universe on 2K. I do feel like the current intercontinental title can use a little blue on it.

2024-08-08 20:16:16 +0000 UTCI have actually seen that and was aware they were the first to really come back. Saw a youtube video on it a while back. That's awesome

2024-08-08 19:55:10 +0000 UTCFUN FACT--WWE had the first large broadcasted gathering after 9/11 on smackdown, two days later on September 13th. The episode of smackdown is on peacock where the wrestlers each give speeches and the national anthem in sung. I would definitely watch your reaction to it.

2024-08-08 19:31:09 +0000 UTCH is a tough SOB. He continued after that and he continued two different tag matches after tearing his quads. People remember the one in 2001 but they always forget when he tore the other in 2007.

2024-08-08 19:30:33 +0000 UTCAnd the doc WWE did on that episode a few years ago. Also, Zelina Vega’s father was killed on 9/11. She did an interview in TNA out of character on the 10th anniversary of the attacks and there’s a clip on YouTube of her reading her dad’s name out on the 20th anniversary. Her story is touching and sad, she became a wrestler because she used to watch WWE with her dad.

2024-08-08 19:28:24 +0000 UTCIt’s nearly 5am so I can’t watch this now but I’m excited to. It’s my favourite Chamber Match and the main event to one of my absolute favourite PPVs ever. IMO Survivor Series 2002 is the greatest Survivor Series ever just as SummerSlam 02 is the greatest SummerSlam ever. There’s a botch in this match, other than Triple H’s throat being crushed, that you wouldn’t have noticed. Kane was supposed to enter last but for some reason they let him out second to last so a lot of the rest of the match is called on the fly which is really impressive. Also, the video package with Always by Saliva is so underrated.

2024-08-08 19:27:34 +0000 UTCOne of my favourite Elimination Chamber matches. HHH broke up the pin because he wanted to pin Michaels himself, they hated each other so much. Michaels first match back in abt 4 years, at SummerSlam tht same year, he beat HHH in a Street Fight but HHH seriously injured him right after. This was his second match, he came back frm injury and won the title from him. Thts why JR mentioned whether u believed in miracles after the match ended, he became champion again after what couldve been a career threatening injury

2024-08-08 18:12:51 +0000 UTCThis is still my favorite Elimination Chamber match. It had so much going against it: -They didn’t know they’d be bumping on steel until a few hours before the show. -HBK’s wrestling gear was unfinished and pretty ugly. -RVD’s knee landed on Triple H’s throat when he did his dive off the pod (which is why you felt like Triple H was resting a lot). -Kane was supposed to enter last and clean house. And regarding Royal Rumbles, I kinda just assumed we all had an unspoken agreement we were saving them for January.

2024-08-08 17:52:36 +0000 UTCYou should definitely look into the Sept. 13 2001 ep of Smackdown. The whole show was about American pride and Stephane McMahon made one of the most distasteful and insensitive comparison in TV history in a pre recorded promo. It doesn’t have to be a reaction but definitely check it out.

2024-08-08 17:40:34 +0000 UTCI don't like Triple H for a few reasons, but I gotta admit, it must've taken a lot to continue the match after RVD crushed his windpipe. It was really crazy the stuff wrestlers would just work through back then.

2024-08-08 17:35:03 +0000 UTCThis was the first elimination chamber match I saw as a kid so this match is engrained in my head. Glad that your getting to this match seeing it now brought back so many memories. This match made me a big big fan of Booker T still to this day he’s one of my favorite wrestlers. Eric Bischoff is definitely a acquired taste I love that you don’t know why you hate him you just do 😂I like him on the mic but his decisions working in WCW along with other people was the reason why that company failed. He’s wised up in his older age, admitted to a lot of his mistakes and he gives a lot of good takes now. He does a solo podcast called Wise Choices that’s really good.

2024-08-08 17:15:21 +0000 UTCThe star power in this match was insane. Every person in this match is either a current or future hall of famer. To give you some context on who Eric Bishcoff was he was the Senior Vice president of WCW. He basically ran WCW during the monday night wars when WCW nitro went head to head against RAW. At this point WWE had purchased WCW and brought Eric in to be the on screen GM of RAW
