This is quite the subdued ECW crowd. I’ve seen this several times but just noticed today that at the 24:00 mark or so, Bill Alfonso tells the wrestlers there are 3 minutes left. Sure enough, the bell rings at around the 27:00 minute mark.

2024-10-04 04:34:46 +0000 UTCAlso just so you know since you mentioned that you didn't think it was no dq because no one said it was all ECW matches where no dq. ECW basically had no rules that's where the "extreme" part of the name comes from

2024-07-22 23:06:39 +0000 UTCPaul Heyman was in ECW by this point. He joined ECW in 1993 and shortly after became the head booker. He bought the company in 1995 and continued to be sole owner/booker until he sold ECW to WWE in 2001. Paul is an amazing booker but his handling of ECW's financial situation is the reason they ultimately had to be sold

2024-07-22 23:04:01 +0000 UTCAgreed. Its great heat! If I were Paul when RVD turned face by crowd popularity alone, Id tell Bill to chill on the whistle and trade it with trash talk cause hes a damn good talker.

2024-07-22 19:31:53 +0000 UTCIt's wild how someone who's put his body through so much punishment is still up and kicking

2024-07-22 19:22:38 +0000 UTCSo it's basically boxing rules where the judges decide in a split decision who did the most damage in a fight. In this type of time limit match the referee decides who did the most damage in the match.

2024-07-22 19:11:44 +0000 UTCThey had their own music but for copyright reasons it's been dubbed over on the wwe network or whatever stream it is. RVD walked out to pantera back in the day

2024-07-22 18:58:38 +0000 UTCThe television Championship back then was called the television Championship because it was defended exclusively on ecw television at least until they started defending it at pay per views as well.

2024-07-22 18:44:03 +0000 UTCThrough the use of an extensive daily stretching routine and an enormous amount of Marijuana RVD has been able to stay incredibly nimble and able to do a lot of the same stuff to this day. One of the most underrated wrestlers in terms of his longevity.

2024-07-22 17:16:13 +0000 UTCLynn won by referee's decision, the time limit expired and ref deemed him to have been in control for the majority of the match and was therefore the winner. Basically RVD's health bar was lower when the clock ran out so Lynn won

2024-07-22 17:15:36 +0000 UTCThese two had great matches in ECW. The generic theme songs that replaced the original ones are a big reason I personally don't watch more ECW and WCW content - It changes the atmosphere a lot for me. Does now someone need to suggest Beulah McGillicutty vs Bill Alfonso to satisfy Dporticus?

2024-07-22 16:56:50 +0000 UTCSadly Bill Alfonso stays annoying, I wish Paul told him to chill on the damn whistle lmao.

2024-07-22 16:50:26 +0000 UTCThese two are some of the most influential talents in terms of the modern wrestling style. RVD, Lynn, the Hardys, Marufuji, Kenta and more were having modern “Indy” style matches back in the 90s. Guys like Danielson, Punk, Styles, Omega, Ospreay, and more were heavily influenced by those wrestlers from the 90s. Also RVD came out to Walk by Pantera and I believe Lynn came out to Scapegoat by Fear Factory. The theme songs were dubbed over in this recording.
