Small tip - To get really cool colour effects over the top try making a new layer over the top of everything, use the fill bucket tool and fill the canvas with a mid purple or blue. Set that layers opacity to 30% and set the layer type to screen or soft light depending on your art program!
Try this with other colours and different layer types to add more pop and colour to your piece!
