Upcoming Plans & Some Updates to my Patreon

Hey guys, I have some updates for you for the sake of transparency. Just a heads up on some changes and improvements to the Patreon tiers. Allow me a quick explanation and then we'll get to the details! If you're short on time, I won't fault you for skipping to the bottom this time. 😉

THE HISTORY

I started my Patreon way back in 2017 at the advice of a friend. I reluctantly told them "I don't know, I don't think anyone would want to support me there." Obviously I was quite naïve, and have been absolutely blown away by your support from the very beginning. As my support has grown, so has the scale and complexity of my mods. I've gone from simple cheat mods to now developing the most complex mod in the community, Create-A-World. There's no way I could have spent enough time on R&D for Create-A-World without all of you choosing to join me here. So first I just want to thank each and every one of you for your support all of these years.

Development burnout has affected a lot of creators in this community and is something I struggle with too. This is why I try to routinely create smaller mods in between my much larger mods, namely Create-A-World. In fact I already have to some extent - you may have noticed a larger amount of updates recently. Over the past 60 days I've released:

• Create-A-World - Color Wheel Lighting

• UI Exception tracking for Better Exceptions

• Fixed BE's infinite scanning for Critical Exceptions

You may have also seen that I just started on Build Studio, a cinematic stop-motion tool for builders. This will serve as my main side project to help give me breaks between continued CAW development.

In addition to accelerating CAW development a bit, I'll also be focusing on some smaller updates to mods like TOOL, Better BuildBuy, etc in the coming months. You all know I don't do hard deadlines for CAW due to the nature of its development, but I'm hoping to have the building side of things buttoned up and the exporter ready before year's end. I'm also considering doing patron-exclusive livestreams soon, focusing around how-to's and Q&A's if that's something you'd be interested in.

THE DETAILS

Due to recent circumstances I will need to tilt my time even more in favor of modding. As such, I will need to make some changes to my tier levels to help facilitate this. 

First of all, absolutely NO pricing changes will be made for any existing patrons. Your perks will remain the same, and you will notice no difference from today unless you actively choose to increase your support. I greatly appreciate all of you for the support over the years so all existing patrons will naturally remain grandfathered in. 🧡

I've tried to leave the tiers alone as long as I could, keeping early access at $2 since the beginning. As I've grown as a modder though, my work - both existing and upcoming - has become much more involved and I believe a tier update is finally due to reflect that. I've also found as of late that my tiers have become confusing to some, and could probably use more concise naming and perk explanations so I've taken care of that as well. The perks are now more in line with the type of mods I've grown to focus on.

Early Enthusiast $5 (Formerly Cup o' Joe)

• Early Access (2-3 weeks)

Early Insider $8 (Formerly Make It A large)

• Early Access (2-3 weeks)
• Status Updates including CAW

• Occasional polls - Help shape new features
• Extra Video and Pic Previews
• (TBD) Patron-only Q&A/How To Livestreams.

Feedback Aficionado $10 (Formerly Whole Cafe)

• Early Access (2-3 weeks)
• Status Updates including CAW
• Discord Role & Exclusive Channels
• Extra Video and Pic Previews
• (TBD) Patron-only Q&A/How To Livestreams.
• More Polls - Help shape more features
• Access to a priority feedback discord channel.
• Beta Testing (Build Studio & CAW will both have a beta period)

Global Tester $15 (Formerly Test Kitchen) 

• All previous tiers' perks, plus...
• Create-A-World Alpha access
• CAW Support via Discord

Global VIP $30 (Formerly Cafe Executive)

• All previous tiers' perks, plus...
• Create-A-World Alpha access
• CAW Support via Discord
• Your name or display name permanently cemented in CAW's in-game credits.
  Perk available until CAW Public Release (while tier spots available)
  Message me what you want as your display name after pledging.

FAQ

Q. What if I'm grandfathered but wanted to change tiers?

A. For the next 10 days I will be keeping a close eye on DM's. If you need to switch a tier, DM me and I'll help you switch to your preferred grandfathered tier.

Q. What if I have to stop pledging for awhile and it won't let me resubscribe at my original tier?

A. DM me & I can check your pledge history. It's no problem to help you get back on your original tier.
