Sneak Peek: Stillstone

Hey sneak peek people!

The following two months we'll be working on one of the FINAL puzzle pieces of the Forgotten God campaign ~ The Silent Order's base in Dryfoot Hill: Stillstone.

We will be dividing the content for Stillstone over two Quest Packs: Stillstone: Sorcerer's Prison, and Stillstone: Wild Riot.

Sorcerer's Prison will be all about the building itself and the Silent Order's operations within the building. It will feature detailed maps of the building's interior and roof with descriptions, and rules for visitors and its intricate magical security systems. This Quest Pack will display Stillstone whole, as it is before Tor's Awakening.

Wild Riot will take place after Tor's awakening, and be more about story. In this Quest Pack we will explore what happens when Stillstone is cracked and its magical security systems fail. This pack will come with a map of Stillstone broken, and introduce a wealth of new characters to encounter and new items to loot.

WORK IN PROGRESS - STILLSTONE MAPS

The ground floor of Stillstone is also referred to as the "sanatorium" - This is where the Silent Order keeps prisoners who they think can be rehabilitated or "cured". These inmates are referred to as "patients", and are treated with a fair amount of dignity and respect. 

The 1st floor of Stillstone is also referred to as the "prison" - This is where the Silent Order keeps offenders they consider particularly dangerous to society and who resist changing their ways. They are kept here until they change their minds, or wither away...

Take special note of the large sphere in the bottom-right corner! This is the Order's "surge detector", and they use it to observe spikes of wild magic occurring in the Soddenweald.

Finally - The roof. Stillstone doesn't have any windows in the sides of the building, but it does have a big glass roof to let light into the building, especially the garden. We wanted to add a roof map to this building because... Who doesn't love a good rooftop showdown??

We hope you'll like the coming two Quest Packs. The Silent Order are an important part of the story we're trying to tell with The Forgotten God, so we thought it best to go into as much detail as we could with their final quest packs in Dryfoot Hill, so that people who play through the campaign can give their story with the Silent Order a satisfying conclusion.
