Worms ingest dirt and when there is ferrous oxide, or in your case iron filings, in the dirt that material in their intestines is magnetic. Still, fascinating that it was enough to be attracted to a magnet so clearly.

Rather than ingesting the iron particles, the particles may well be stuck to this mucus. In the name of science I think you should wash the worms first and see if that removes the magnetic properties. Love the unedited and unscripted video. Keep up the great work.

I see Destin's next thing will be something like "ancestry.com" for worms, where you can track what part of the yard a worm came from by how much iron is in it.. I can't help but feel a little bad for the worm, seeing as though he just went through the equivalent of being put through an MRI machine with a metal hip, but I guess it beats getting eaten by a catfish. :-)

They keep making me go through a cloudflare step despite me being signed up for 2FA. Their response is "There's nothing we can do, it's our web host". and that seems like a load of crap to me. So, can you either post direct links to the youtube videos or have them fix the problem with their webhost? Thank you! I love your work, and want to continue to support it, but I really can't if they keep making it such a pain in the butt.
