Added 2017-03-08 19:56:46 +0000 UTCI read this comment last night and thought.... you know what? That's an excellent idea. Along with my grandfather, Dad, Mom and wife, I thanked all 3000 of you. I'm not sure it was recorded but I said something like this. "There's a group of 3,000 people who go out of their way to donate to make Smarter Every Day possible. They let me take trips to things like awards ceremonies.... of which this is the first one ever. Anyways, I really want to thank people who donate to Smarter Every Day at Patreon.com"
It felt right. I was really nervous.

I sounded nervous didn't I? I was sitting next to Dr. Mather (head of the JWST) and when I sat down afterwards I said "I was nervous". He said "that's normal, you did great". After the ceremony I asked him to explain what it was like to SPEAK WHEN YOU GET THE NOBEL PRIZE. Can you even imagine?
