Greatest Hits Episode #04 - Suggestions Now Open!
Added 2021-12-29 14:01:03 +0000 UTC
Hello Production Tier & Credits Patrons!
Greatest Hits has fast become one of the most creatively enjoyable projects here on Noclip. Thanks to your suggestions and votes we've produced documentaries on RollerCoaster Tycoon, the Thief Series and the History of DMA Design.
We originally started the show on a two month cycle, but that quickly changed to three months when we realized how long it took retired game developers to answer emails. This last episode took almost four, so while we endeavor to get them out as quickly as possible I think figuring our release timing on a case-by-case basis may be best for now. 2-4 months per episode seems fair though. So let's figure out what we're diving into for episode four.
How do suggestions work again?
The comments section of this post is open for suggestions. Over the next 24 hours we encourage you to post games you'd like episode four to cover, upvote other people's suggestions and reply to them in the comments.
After 24 hours we will take a look at the comments and collect the most popular suggestions. I'll also pick one "oddball" suggestion from the pile to keep it spicy, and add one personal suggestion from myself. This will build the final poll which will determine which project we explore in episode four.
You will all vote on this poll in a separate post later this week.
Some ground-rules;
- Suggest a game, studio, or person in the comments below.
- Previously voted on / suggested games that did not win, are allowed.
- Feel free to bandwagon on other suggestions. Vote them up! Cheer them on!
- Ensure suggestions are "classic". We're thinking games from 15+ years ago.
- Try not to suggest a massive studio or series we may struggle to fit into the runtime.
- Classic can mean good, or infamous. Be creative!
Get voting, and best of luck!
- Danny

WipeOut would make for a cool doc on its own if a Psygnosis doc is outwith the scope of Greatest Hits.

2021-12-30 12:00:27 +0000 UTCI must again suggest Descent! It had six degrees of motion, multiplayer, a shareware version, and outer space! I also really want Fable, but I suspect that's too big for Greatest Hits.
