Hey Production Team!

No sooner has episode one been published than we are back at it again. Welcome to the world of video production taffers (this is a Thief reference, get used to me using it).

For those of you new to this, this meeting is where we figure out how to tackle the episode. Over the coming  month we will be locked in pre-production where we research the game, film interviews, collect b-roll, and uncover the story we're telling. The month after that (June) will be post production where we edit, film any pick-ups, write the script and release the doc. So before we start this month's pre-production work we want to get together with the community and talk about the project.

How can I get involved?

Well first of all you don't have to turn up, fully researched with a notepad and pen. These are meant to be a patron reward, not homework. So there are loads of ways to help us out or just enjoy the content, including;

• Give us suggestions and ideas in the comments below. We will bring them up in the meeting even if you are not there.
• Join live and ask questions in the chat. It's all about collaboration in these things so get involved if you want!
• Just join the stream and lurk. We have plenty to discuss between ourselves so feel free to just hang out and listen.
• Watch the VOD after the live event. We'll keep the stream punchy and entertaining so it's a fun watch for those of you who can't be there live. This post functions as the scheduling notice, the embed for the live event, and the VOD. So just come back here to watch it.

So what is the focus of Sunday's meeting?

On Sunday we are going to try and explore the different ways we could create this episode. What devs we should interview, what streamers/YouTubers/modders are in the Thief community, where we should film, what b-roll we should get, that type of thing. Basically anything to do with planning the content of the doc.

Remember the golden rule - there are no bad ideas in brainstorming - so if you have any ideas or suggestions, no matter how outlandish, please stick them in the comments or bring them up in the meeting.

We found that this time has worked really well for a lot of people. For those of you who can make it, we look forward to hearing your input. And for those of you who can't, shoot us your ideas in the comments below, and comment on the VOD after the fact too - I'll be checking both during the duration of pre-production.
