Hey Patrons!
Wow.....what a week.
The past four days have been a bit of a haze, but before I clock off for the weekend I wanted to give you an update on everything that happened this week and what it means for Noclip.
We gained over 1,420 new patrons in three days and hundreds of existing patrons upped their pledges to help us not only reach our goal for getting a brand new 4k camera but we're now in a position where we're able to give substantially more work hours to the whole team.
This is beyond my wildest dreams for this week, and with people still signing up and increasing their pledges we may actually hit 6,000 patrons this month which would be insane - and also mean we stream our very own E3 show this summer which would be amazing.
The dust is very much settling and I'm still trying to understand exactly what this means for us but in the meantime I just wanted to thank you so much for your support, for your patronage, and for all the kind words you sent this past week. It's been overwhelming.
Noclip has been my baby for the past four and a half years, but right now it feels like we just finished the prologue. We're going to squeeze every drop out of your patronage today, save for massive projects post-covid, and get even more creative with the work we do. I can't tell you how exciting that it is.

Pretty excited for the RCT Greatest Hits doc - as you said, I think a lot of us who are now in our early-to-mid 30s consider it a formative part of our youths. Hell, I was just playing the mobile port yesterday; it still holds up terrifically.

But I'm watching a lot of your videos for a while now and it's time to to pay something into the pot at the very least as long as I am employed.
2021-03-06 09:24:26 +0000 UTCCongrats! But please don't feel obligated to have a plan for spending ALL of the funds. It might be a good idea to set aside a portion as cushion/emergency money. If this 'side bank' grows to a large sum, you could also take some of it out for any odd one-off projects from time to time as well. Just a thought.

2021-03-05 15:49:13 +0000 UTCI might be in the minority on this but I don't think you necessarily need to think about how to go "bigger" by spending all the extra money. Sometimes it's OK to just carry on what you're doing but with more wiggle room. Of course if you've got things you want to get done e.g. editing time, that you couldn't afford to pay for as much as you wanted to then that's a great use of the extra income. Good luck and carry on!
