Hey Patrons!
I wanted to drop this note now because we are days away from the end of the month which is financially (for you) the best time for your to change your tier or pledge.
Recently Patreon activated Annual Memberships on Noclip's account which means you can pay for an entire year of Noclip's Patreon up-front in whatever tier you want. This is cool in a number of ways. First of all we get all of those funds immediately. The Patreon cut is the same but we get more funding in the bank which helps us fund stuff now and plan ahead with more certainty. It's cool for you too because if you plan to stick around for the year - as the majority of our patrons do - we've decided to give annual members an 8% saving over paying month-to-month. For some people we think this is a pretty cool option.
We've already seen a bunch of new patrons go annual (including one dude at the production tier which literally convinced me buy some replacement tech I was putting off until December) but I thought it best to let you all know in case you were interested.
If you have any questions about swapping tiers or going back to monthly after one year this FAQ covers most of it but please feel free to stick your questions in the comments.
For those of you interested, this is how you do it;

Setting up Annual
For existing patrons the following steps will help you switch over your pledge to annual.
- Log in, hover over your profile icon in the top right corner, and select Manage Memberships
- From your Active Memberships page click Edit next to the pledge you want to change
- You’ll see a familiar checkout page where you can select Annual
- Click Update. Note: you’ll be charged upfront for the discounted price

Thanks so much for help in funding our work. We're currently editing a bunch of big docs and shorts, along with new episodes of the podcast. Moreover the time off this month has helped me a lot in shaping some exciting ideas for 2021.

2020-10-30 16:35:55 +0000 UTCGreat question, according to the FAQ you shouldn’t cancel your pledge but cancel automatic renewal. That will let you run out the remainder of your year with continued access. Once the year is up your patronage will end - it doesn’t kick you back into monthly automatically or anything.

Last time I canceled a pledge I lost access to everything immediately, rather than at the end of my paid month. Though it might have been due to the creator having put the project in "no charge" that month. Anyway just curious.
