2019-04-22 13:55:42 +0000 UTCHey Jeremy, stoked about your E3 content ideas! About the Blades doc, though......I really hope it doesn't backfire as much as the Fallout76 one did. I personally loved that doc, and generally enjoyed playing the game, but Blades is a different animal, that has gotten some pretty negative YT coverage here recently. The cash grab part of it is so over the top, that it overshadows the good parts of the game, IMO, to the point that I have no desire to open the app again after playing it for a few hours. The pay wall is very real in the game, which makes it just about impossible to continue progressing without paying money. I hope that generalized dislike of the game doesn't spill over to your work on the game!

2019-04-21 07:10:08 +0000 UTCAs one of those who are reluctant about being offered Patreon exclusives, I think the idea of director commentaries or other extras is a good way to go. It's one of the draw cards that often lured me into buying the fancy-pants edition of a DVD for sure. I guess I misunderstood your goal as it felt like I was already quite satisfied with what I was getting with my five bucks so the extras seemed unnecessary. Clearly though having more incentives for people to get in the tent is good for everyone and to that end, fair play.

The E3 thing sounds super cool, really looking forward to see what you're gonna do with that! Hey, just thought of a thing for a doc, how indie games tackle marketing, there are like small marketing agencies that focus on indie developers to help them out, that could be an angle to follow someone working there, I think I saw a piece once about a indie booth, could have been from GS, don't remember, just a thought.
