Hey Patrons,
Here it is. I know that many of you may not have played this game, but this doc more than any we've done before, is something that anyone can watch and take something away from.
It was the most difficult story I've ever had to edit, and had to frequently take breaks for my own mental health. So if you're in a bad spot right now, maybe skip it for a little while.
A huge thanks to Samantha Kalman for pitching this story to me two years ago, to Joe Tirado for setting it up and to Adam, Brendan, Riley, Veronica and everyone at the studio for allowing us to tell this story.
I hope you enjoy it folks. Let me know what you think.

As the warning says, this is a heavy one. I remember being blown away by Paul Pepera's art years ago and seeing some screens of the beginning of the idea for Astroneer. I had no idea he wasn't around anymore. What a loss. Props to Adam and Brendan for publicly opening up like that, that's not an easy thing to do. Once you experience loss so close to you, you carry that with you always. Very inspiring to see them keep going to finish what they all started! And very well told and shot of course by Danny and Jeremy. I also wanted to say Samantha's part was very interesting. She sounds like such a cool person and without her we wouldn't have this story. Looking forward to episode two of Tea Time! ;)

2019-03-09 09:18:28 +0000 UTCToo often the many ways of how personal lives of game developers influence and shape the games we all play, are being left outside of the story. I was moved at seeing the results of how delicately yet directly the noclip documentary team presents the complex emotional process of coping with a loss of well loved friend and college. Thanks for a story well told!

Beautiful and very personal story. Danny, this “stopgap” documentary might have become my top 3 favorite doc from Noclip. Great job! PS I recognized the AirBnB from the BTs lol..

2019-03-05 23:18:31 +0000 UTCAmazing work. I'll admit I've been watching your docs when they become public and only just now became a Patron. Followed your career and all the stuff you've done since being on Giant Bomb's stuff and I love and respect what you have done! You guys are providing a valuable life-enriching product and you should be very proud!

2019-03-04 16:20:04 +0000 UTCWhat a great doc! Even with such a big tragedy, (or maybe even more so because of it) it is very inspiring. My best wishes to the team, I hope they can find peace sooner than later.
